Interesting, I guess the owners and Max had enough of everyone's shit.

Guess so. And Dietrich's death is what set all of this craziness in motion. He was the one keeping it all under control.

It will be good for Mekies and the team.  He can focus on the new car without having to worry about anyone undermining him.

neat graph from BBC that illustrates how much of F1 is truly a constructors battle than a driver battl

that said, the scale of the graph kinda exaggerates the point by compressing the teammate differences

Prolly got tired of his racist shit.

Yes, because Max would never hear any of that from someone close to him, like, I don't know, his partner's Father.

It's not like he can just jettison Nelson into the sun. But Marko? Maybe he could do something about him. Or maybe that was call from someone higher up the food chain in the Red Bull ecosystem.

Sure Lewis would be happy to help him with Nelson.

I do think the decsion most likely came from the Yoovidhya ownership side of the business now that Dietrach is gone.

So I did a relatively bad job at following the season once again this year.

According to the races that are still on my DVR, I have started but not finished the following: Japan, Spain, Hungary, US/COTA, and Vegas. I haven't begun watching the following: Britain, Belgium (race and sprint), Italy, Brazil (race and sprint), and Abu Dhabi.

I imagine it's realistic for me to maybe get to half of them before next season. Which ones should I keep and try to watch? Which ones should I delete?

For whatever it's worth, I don't have any hard and fast rooting interest (fuck Max, though I dislike him slightly less than I used to), and I most enjoy the races that are chaotic shitshows (that British GP 10-15 years ago when all the tires kept failing is probably my all-time favorite...) and races where hubris and/or strategic incompetence coming home to roost are featured front and center.

I remember when they flubbed their new car design so bad that they were basically backmarkers.  I'm sure they'll nail the new one right out of the gate though. I don't think Zak is going to handle success very well.

Fuck the fat bastard, he will handle success as well as failure which is poorly from a guy whose only achievement on his own is hammering sausage rolls at Gregs.

Bullshit??

So what I learned from that is Anthony Hamilton has gotten a much better ROI by buying Lewis second hand carts, being the mechanics for his son, and then joining the McLaren youth driver development program at 13.

Great pics.  If I ever go to another F1 race, it will be in the Paddock Club.  I don't want to go sit in the grandstands and deal with the crush of people anymore.  And when cars are not on track, it's boring AF.

I’m on the wait list for the US GP in Austin. I’m still deciding if I want to spend that kind of money. I think it’s worth it once.

Wait list? Like, for a specific section or tier of seating/hospitality?

Through F1 Exprience - Paddock Passes - Legends Level. Basically gives you one full day in the actual paddock area (where the teams are located). The other two days are in the paddock hospitality. Some tracks have this available through the F1 Experience web site.
