30 games left in regular season

4.5 out of wildcard race

any chance?

Well we don’t play the teams above us, so maybe 20-10 or 19-11 would have a chance if someone falters.  Need to still be within reach after the 6 game home stand against Houston and Milwaukee.

agreed, I think it will take something like 21-9, maybe 20-10.

we probably need Seattle to start to come back to earth on one run games.  They are 27-17 and we are 17-25.

Wash at the pre-game press conference today. Had quadruple bypass 8 weeks ago. Said he wants to return next season when he’s fully cleared. That man made me rage so hard at times, but he was doing what he thought was best and there’s no denying that man bleeds baseball. Baseball is a better place with Wash around. Glad he’s doing better.

I don't know how you do it but this lineup needs a complete overhaul in the offseason.

It's going to be hard to do. We're stuck with Semien and Joc because of their contracts. Would have to pay someone to take them. Higgy will be here on a reasonable deal. Heim should have a reasonable arbitration cost attached, but also he's been horrible and advanced stats don't even like his defense anymore. I wouldn't mind if they move on there.

Langford, Jung, Burger, Smith, and Carter are all cheap. The big question for me is Adolis. He's arb-eligible next year, probably set to earn around the same $9-ish million he got this year. But he's been dreadful at the plate for two full years now. I don't think you can just cross your fingers and hope he gets better.

We've got some money coming off the books with Gray and Mahle. That's almost $30m right there. But they have to completely rebuild the bullpen again, and need a starter.

As the season has moved into the late stages there has been talk in the DFW media that both Adolis and Heim are strong candidates to be non-tendered this offseason
