This is the year.  I can feel it in my subcockles.

Forrest Whitley struck out 2 over a scoreless 9th inning for Sugar Land tonight. He threw 10 pitches, 9 for strikes, and was up to 98.2 MPH.

so after the all star break ?

Espada on Alvarez: "I just want to make sure that it complete goes away . We don't want to go back to where he feels something again and we have to restart the process again. ... I'ts there, but every day it feels better."

numbers heading the right way but we need more hits ....

As a team, the Astros rank third in the AL in OPS with runners in scoring position with a .754 mark, trailing only the Tigers (.803) and Yankees (.786)

there's no hope for more 'power' even when yordan gets back

Not good when Dave Raymond and Blum are calling you stupid for challenging an umps bottom of the zone  with Framber on the mound on your side

Brandon Hyde is out there.

Just sayin'.

I really hate this team. They are so freaking boring

They lost their clubhouse leader in Bregman. Yordan and Altuve are not vocal leaders. Fuck Jim Crane. Cheap son of a bitch ended the dynasty prematurely.

He's not cheap. We have a top 10 payroll.

After the All-Star break? What the fuck!

Seriously, what could possibly be wrong with the guy that would have him out for weeks?  He is supposedly only 27, okay, factor in the Cuba birth certificate and he could be over 30 and if so those aches are called being over 30 so deal with it.

There is being cheap and there is someone who views players as assets and will spend accordingly with the periodic wild hair impulse buy, say Hader for example.

Bregman at 31 is at a career high for exit velocity and hard hit% which is not only the norm for most players, but what indicated he was going to start the way he has this year?

You know who is not cheap, the owner of the Padres who was a top 5 payroll in a much smaller market than Houston. Crane not playing the game of keeping your top end talent is inexcusable. Especially with Bregman.

Umm if you can't grip or swing a bat you are worthless...thats kind of the point of baseball you know

Understood, so what the fuck happened where he can grip a bat?

Seriously, if you are 27, aside from some autoimmune issue  what can possibly cause so much pain and discomfort you can't grab and hold a bat?

I’ve never understood since he initially started having problems with his hands why he didn’t go to an ax handle bat. It’s basically made for this/hammate bone problems.

You mean the guy who tried to buy a championship before he died two years ago and now his estate is the owner of the team?

Similar to the problem that plagued Junior though I believe with Griffey it first started hitting a wall on a catch.
