Wait, did I read that correctly, you have to get ESPN’s direct to consumer subscription of $29.99 per month ON TOP of the cost for MLB.tv. Fuck that noise. I have DirecTV and get ESPN, I will not pay another $30 a month for the scam they’re trying to pull.

Question for y’all that use Unlocator to see the Astros on MLB.tv while living in Texas — do I need to just sign up for their Smart DNS service and get that set up on Apple TV and will be golden? I have NordVPN for VPN if a VPN is needed. I hope I don’t have to get Unlocator’s VPN on top of their $5 month Smart DNS.

in the end, the user / fan will be screwed over

Re: MLB.tv: it wouldn’t be “on top of”…. the only way to get MLB.tv in the future would be through the espn package if what’s being reported (espn buys those rights) happens. At the current price point for the espn package ($30/month), that’s means it’ll cost about $30 more (6 months Apr-Sep) x $30 = $180) compared to the current MLB.tv season price of $150. But I would be surprised if espn, charging $30/month now for their streaming package that debuted today, doesn’t raise the price if they add mlb.tv to the lineup.  They would be wise to offer a standalone “mlb.tv” option at a price point close to what it is today.

re: unlocator: I only use their SmartDNS service. I don’t use AppleTV today but it worked several years ago when I did

I use unlocator smartvpn on my google tv's and choose LA or Chicago and then fire up MLB.tv, his has worked amazing and I've watched some or most of the whole season

I find it hilarious that Tucker took his sweet ass time last year and apparently an agent rep in all of his rehab sessions last year, but in a contract year he is trying to tough it out. Cubs fans are right to boo him recently for not running out grounders.

Fuck you MLB.  Baseball night in America and I get Yankees/ Boston game

Oh just let me see...I was gonna make the 650 mile commute to the Astros...oh wait...the bazillion mile commute to Oriole Park at Camden Yards instead of watching on TV.

I hate the business of Major League Baseball.  It's fucking stupid.

Fuck you.  I'll watch it for free.

I have Nord VPN on all my TVs via Amazon firestricks. I don't think even the latest smart TV give you the option to download it onto your TV. and it works great. I haven't missed a game that I wanted to watch in 3-4 seasons.

Radio speculating we may see Yordan earlier.

Pregame Espada was asked if the plan was still for Yordan to play in sugar land today and tomorrow and he responded “he’s playing today.”

idk how Ford gets from that that he may be on the way to Baltimore soon vs say, West Palm Beach, but that was Ford’s interpretation.

So I went to the ESPN app on my tv, clicked on the Astros game and it went to my MLBtv app and worked.  When I went straight to the MLBtv it did not.  I have no fucking idea.

What does this mean?

Why would our game tonight be listed anywhere on an espn property (when it’s on FOX)

The Summer of George is the best storyline of this season, what a great surprise he's been. Paredes probably would have been if he didn't get injured. Anyways, get Yordan back, some more pitchers and get back on track to bring it home and win the division again.

Costanza willing us into the playoffs and starting a playoff game would be a yarn for the ages.
