My only issue with the Cam trade is that he cost a mid 1st to draft, and they got two 2nds for him. Selling at a loss in this transaction. But maybe he wasn't all that attractive around the league and that was the best they could do. I just figured a team like NOLA or Sac would be willing to pay more for him.

I think the Nets could have been talked into doing something foolish, but all signs point to Cam asking to go to DC and Stone making it happen for him.

Just in time for him and AD to be in their mid 30's.  Great.

I said it when they got the #1 pick but they should trade everyone for young assets and picks and build around Flagg.

WTF is Utah doing?

It's a great question. Utah is either dumping salary to facilitate more trades for picks or going after a free agent. Between this, the Sexton trade and the Clarkson buyout, I would have to say it's the former but I'm not sure exactly why. I get that they are clearing the decks for their young players to get more playing time, but they already have so many young players and picks that acquiring more doesn't seem to portend that much more marginal of an improvement. I don't know how much more they can bottom out (worst record in the league last year) or why or what they are going to do with even more picks. What was the whole point in extending Markannan?

The Jazz turned Sexton, Clarkson and Collins into Jusuf Nurkic, Kyle Anderson, Kevin Love and a second round pick. Austin Ainge era off to a booming start.

Maybe they know the NBA will put its thumb on the scales to get them Cam Boozer

I mean I didn't expect him to say anything different...what that he will be by by February and 100%? He can't even know that.

Getting rid of that Collins contract I guess.

They could have held him until the trade deadline and gotten some value for him. They basically got scraps for a guy that some teams would probably would want.

They traded the best player in the Collins and Sexton deals and got jack shit.

I thought he had another year on his deal.

Either way I'm not sure how much he would be worth at the deadline. He put up good numbers last season but it was on a shitty team and he can't stay on the floor. I don't see him putting anyone over the top to contend or make a deep playoff run - and you'd have to send $20M+ out in salary. He was pretty good when ATL made the ECF but that was ages ago now.

What is up with all of these non-guaranteed deals?

Screenshot_20250707_193354_Chrome.thumb.jpg.b6039d2242cc22820a5f264f8cc54fc6.jpgScreenshot_20250707_193341_Chrome.jpg.efefe49f3d8a663548d8e195be536986.jpg

Consequence of this CBA I guess?

Also what the fuck is a non-guaranteed player option?

Fake news, man.

They couldn’t sign him for that much even if they wanted to.

Why do people post fake news shit? I don’t get it. But I would be ok with the death penalty for repeat offenses (being serious).

Ace Bailey 1-3, 3 pts, 0 rebounds, 0 assists  and -14 in the first qtr alone.

But I'm told Danny Ainge is a genius.

You see, he took a team that had gone 52-20 the year before he arrived in Utah and they've won 49, 37, 31, and 17 games in the four years since.

And the Jazz will undoubtedly end up with a win total in the teens next year.

I’m not vouching for anything that’s happened in the last 24 months but…you wouldn’t have done the Gobert trade?

It's okay we can pivot.

Would you give Austin Reaves or Tyler Herro more money?

reaves. i love herro, he’s awesome, but reaves has that “takeover gene” where he can turn it on and just run the game for an entire quarter and change or cement the outcome of a game. so for as awesome as herro is, i see him as the more ancillary of the two. i’m admittedly a big time reaves fan (he’s one of my fantasy keepers in our league), but it’s only because i’ve watched him so much from him being on my team the last two years. he can really take over a game in a way that not a lot of third options can. when ad or bron is out reaves plays like a legit no.2. he’s bout it bout it.

We gave up scraps who have since gone on to multiple teams: Vanderbilt is a 8th man on the Lakers, Pat Bev out of league, Balmero out of league, Malik Beasly multiple teams and soon to be out of league,  Kessler- who sucks.  So far its been  Rudy Gobert for Walker Kessler, Keyontae George and Will Riley and 3 consecutive losing seasons.

+ we just literally picked ahead of our own pick after the KAT trade with Detroits pick lol. 1st rd picks can be had pretty easily, especially the ones Utahs likely going to be getting in 2027 and maybe 2029. the 2029 sucks to give up but whatever, winnings fun. losing 67 games next year like Utah will do isnt fun

Sensabaugh with 37 and all people talk about is Ace. I bet he isn’t too happy today.

37 on 14 shots...which is insane. Sensabaugh had some moments during last season too so guess Utahs just trying to get anybody under 21 as much run as they can before the actual season.

Bailey did bounce back from what little i watched. few nice wide open dunks and a couple 3's and ended with a decent game.  maybe sub level by his standards

Being that this slide involves both Danny Ainge AND the Utah Jazz it is not only allowable, but incredibly gratifying.

I meant from Utah’s perspective. No brainer for them at the time and of course they were gonna suck after it was done.  Problem is the lottery balls haven’t fallen their way and they have a ton of young project guys as a result. This latest move with Collins screams “We need to find out what we have with Hendricks and Filipowski”. My guess is “Not very fucking much”

yea theyre gonna be very bad. like 70 loss bad especially if they trade Lauri. Wonder if Ainge is around to even see come to fruition or if patience wears thin by around 2028 and its been 6 years since they made the playoffs and arent even close to the play in still

And the inability to re-sign Karl Anthony Townes. You forgot that you gave that up in the trade, too, although you did get Randle and Donte DiVincenzo.  I still wonder what kind of assets they could have put around KAT and Edwards with more picks and more cap flexibility.

2 dudes averaging 110,000,000 is a recipe for disaster..youre not gonna be able to surround them with much especially when you factor in jaden and Naz's 60,000,000 now youre flirting with the aprons and you have 4 players

Very solid movie. Just watched it for the second time on Saturday.

And Hali cemented himself with that playoff run. Dude is a straight baller.
