I vote for both. Hell, when ohio state went "all in" they had both judkins and henderson in one backfield. Two second rounds draft picks.

This is my exact thinking as well. We're going all in, too. We aren't wasting Arch's last season.

I think I'm going to miss Ethan Burke the most.  His ability to look unstoppable in big games will be missed.   God speed at the next level.

He didn’t even break 600…

Cam Edwards looking good right now 10 ypc and a TD, over 100 yds in the first half.

I must have confused the accomplishment of Sark’s offense finally having a 2025 game with a 100 yard rusher during aggy as Tre having 1,000 yards in a season since they kept going on about it on tv and I was pretty drunk that night.

All in lol. 3 DB’s, one all American LB and an edge. 2 OL, 2 rb’s and somehow a wr who “knows how to play wr”. That’s what arch needs Texas to replace for next year. Shit ton of starts between those guys that are leaving. Let’s say muschamp is so damn good, at 55 after taking a year off, that he makes the defense shine despite breaking in 5 starters and teaching a new scheme. The confidence that sark has a plan in year 6 that changes the narrative he created in the previous 5 years is wild.

Being a fan only affects me on Saturdays. I missed my Christmas wish but gee golly I wish I was more like you @TrashMaster G and fun to be around. If being practical about who sark is makes me a bitch then it is what it is. You can keep sucking that “we’re Texas” dick year after year. One title in 55 years shit for brains.

Should we go back to the Herman or Strong days when we wouldve gotten our faces kicked in by OU/Aggy and wins over them wouldve been considered a minor miracle? No thanks. This team is gonna fuck next year.

The "made the semis in back to back years, buttfucked the Big XII on the way out, and was one win away from the Playoff despite starting the year with the Keystone Kops at OL" narrative?

Jesus, talk to fans of any other school that isn't our rivals for once and you'll be amazed at the general perception that we're back to being a real blueblood. The issues last off-season were clearly bad, and UGA has our number (a position we share with pretty much every non-Bama CFB team), but this is pure misery wish casting. In this era roster churn is expected and in many cases (hi Liona and CJ) encouraged.

Yeah. Most people I know (that arent UT fans) regard Texas as a top 5 team this year that played their playoff games during the season and came up short. I tend to agree with that analysis.

Starting with a trash OL is what I’m talking about here in regards to Sark’s abilities , but the argument isn’t sark can’t win 9 or 10 games. The argument is sark has all the tools to be Kirby smart or Ryan day but in year 6 he doesn’t seem to be capable of that. If you spend $15-$20 million a year then you gotta expect to win a title or be in the running to win it. I guess I’m looking at it all wrong. Ignore me and I’ll hold my opinion until December of 26.

I understand what you’re trying to say here in terms of Texas being relevant, but saying everyone knows we “played our playoff games during the season and came up short” sounds so fucking aggy even if it’s true.

It would benefit them both to come back to school. Goosby needs another year of tape or he'll get the Cam Williams treatment. Wingo ain't leaving. That would be epically stupid, even if we do bitch about him he's still a very solid WR with a high ceiling. He's only gotten better each year. Maybe next year his drop rate...well, drops.

Goosby will be next to impossible to retain, if he gets 1st round grade. I think Goosby’s Texas career is in the hands of NFL scouts right now

I Wasn’t clear. I was speaking about Transfer Portal, not NFL. If he gets a 1st round grade he should leave, IMHO

Why do you think the only options are total domination or sucking shit through a straw? We have not (yet) addressed the most glaring problems on this team. Given sark’s history most likely we win 9-10 and miss the playoffs or exit early, for the same old reasons.

He's not getting a first round grade after this season. He was solid, but not even close to first or second round material. I mean, I've seen weirder, I suppose, but I just can't see it. He struggled quite a bit, which is normal since it's his first season starting. But he was our best OL and graded out at 81.6 for the entire season. Next season if he can build on what he did this year, he's a for sure first or second rd pick. For reference, Banks graded out at 91.4 overall. Massive difference between the two.

We, as fans, have unrealistic ideas, especially after Banks. He spoiled us. We do not have a Banks on the roster, unless you want to count Baker, who had an 80.2 pass blocking grade, but he struggled mightily against Arkansas, and was average to good against aggy, Georgia, but was elite against Vandy. He did extremely well overall considering he's a first year starter.

He has already gotten a first round grade Forgot the guy, but he had Goosby the #1 OT in the draft. CBS Sports has him #7 overall. He has elite traits. I don’t think he played quite to that level, but I understand the projection. I don’t think he will be a consensus 1st round guy this year, but who knows.

Wisner did manage to rush for 1064 if you include last season.

That would be 467 yards in 2024 and 597 yards this season.

If we dont make the semis or better next year, he will be fired and Arch's time here will be considered a complete failure. So I dont think he has any option but to succeed. Or he will be gone. This year was his good grace being burned from the two consecutive semifinal appearances.

Texas should never miss a top 4 spot in consecutive seasons under the current format. We should be playing for championships year in and out. Dont like that standard, go root for aggy.

i mean i don't disagree, at the same time Texas has been a top 5 recruiting factory for as long as I've been paying attention and we have only been a consistent top 5 program for brief stretches in the past 30 years.

IMO unless the boosters and fans get greedy, or we think we've got someone in the wings, Sarks safe beating our rivals and being a bubble teams in bad years, and going to the playoffs in good years.

Now if the format changes, maybe the expectation changes into a particular level of playoffs.

Of course he is. His take is worse than know-nothing fans that said Mack’s job was in jeopardy in ‘02. It wasn’t and Sark isn’t close to being in the hot seat unless there is personal business going on behind the scenes.
