I think you are being dazzled by the helmet. Nick Saban isn't on the sidelines anymore.

Yeah, about Alabama getting hot....

So if Tech is a fraud for getting beat by a 12-1 Oregon team 23-0 how would some of you describe Alabama?

Better than Oklahoma

They spent tons of money and skimped at the QB position. Bet they land Raoila or some other big name QB

They are supposedly the high bidder for the Cincinnati QB.

Raoila is a big named quarterback? Why?

I think he will be one of the bigger ones in the portal for QB and he had that weird Mahomes mini me thing going. Would not be surprised if Mahomes tries to personally get him there.

So Tech would want him why?

Their QB sucks dick and cost them a playoff game today. I’m not saying it will be him but they should probably go get one.

Suspect they will, but it first starts with the scheme and then find a quarterback who has shown he can effectively run an offense.

I said this on here before the playoffs started that the Big XII had one really good team this year in Tech. The rest of the conference was average to outright mediocre. I also said Tech’s defense would keep them in a game, but they had two issues. One is they had an average offense. No real explosive players that worry an opposing defensive coordinator and they had an average to below average QB.

You take that and combine it with having a JAG for a head coach in McGuire and this outcome isn’t shocking. He will forever hold Tech back until Campbell and Co decide to fire him. Thankfully, for the three or four teams trying to win in the conference, this helps us out. He was saved by the amount of spending on players. That’s it. If not for that he’s unemployed right now and looking for a program analyst job.

The whole market is frozen until Dante Moore makes a decision and Phil Knight and Oregon enter the bidding.

@Brian Fantana Anything you’d like to say?

Sure! Defense lived up to the bill for the most part, offense was dogshit. Not a big surprise. I've said like 900 times that I am not a fan of Morton and this game was pretty much entirely on him. Most Tech fans will probably tell you that they thought throwing all our eggs into the Morton basket was a mistake and hopefully it's one they learn from.

Didn't get to watch the 2nd half because I was driving. C'est la vie.

Not upset at all, sucks to end the season that way but get a real quarterback and this game is probably very different.

Please don't kys because I'm not blubbering about it that would be tragic.

Ok I laughed you get +1 Internet

Nail meet head of the hammer:

"Asked whether he believed there was consensus among the power conference commissioners that a Group of Five representative should be guaranteed a spot in the next iteration of the playoff, Yormark’s smarmy response practically gave away the game.

“Frankly, that’s a great question, and I don’t want to speak to that,” he said. “I mean, listen, there’s 10 commissioners and obviously Notre Dame that are on the management committee, and we all communicate and we’re all being very thoughtful about it. I will say that the Power Four commissioners are spending more time together to work through what expansion might look like. But there’s a lot of things we have to weigh and consider and we’ll see what happens.”

Yormark didn’t have to say another word to make it clear where he stands.

But the question we should all be asking is whether it’s because he doesn’t believe the unwashed Group of Five masses belong in the playoff or because he’s afraid the Big 12 would be rendered irrelevant if it were forced to earn its keep.

We just watched the team that dominated his conference all year get reduced to ashes by the third-best team in the Big Ten. Who’s the charity case now, Brett?"

But Tech wasnt really good and the big 12 is/was a rich mans AAC.

Thats not gonna change in the following years. I dont see the big 12 getting two bids next year. Just another year of an overrated Tech team that gets blown out 1st round
