JV gonna fuck around and get to 3,000 Ks this year...
I keep waiting for him to fall off the pace but he keeps going out there and putting up double digit K starts.

Currently on an (Astros record) streak of 6 in a row (if I heard Ford correctly)

It's really like clockwork.  6-7 IP, 10-14 Ks, 1-2 solo HRs, 2-3 other hits.

Oakland broadcast confirmed.  Randy Johnson and JR with 5.

He needs 66 after tonight.
He’s on track for 7 more starts.
That’s an average of 9.4 Ks per game.

I’m still betting he gets it at the banner raising on March 26, 2020.

so fuckin dumb taking his bat our of the game to pinch run

Yeah I get it if he was in LF tonight and you were taking his glove out of the game too.

But taking Yordan’s bat and Brantley’s glove for Jake’s legs and glove?

Ehhh

We’ll see

Edit: holy shit. No other changes? Really just burned Yordan AND Jake right there?

The next time he swings at a first pitch fastball will be the first time.  At least it seems that way.  He’s always giving pitchers at least one freebie.

Someone needs to post the facts on this again
I remember we all thought the same last year but the numbers actually showed it wasn’t much different than league average or something like that

Jake is still the DH.  He couldn't go into the field or we would lose the DH.

Here's against first pitch four seamers.  Nothing stands out as too unusual to me

100% you pinch run him there, every time

I didn't mind it as much tonight.  The other day it was a tie game in the 8th with a runner on 2nd and Yordan on 1st.  In that case his run isn't that important and I'd rather leave him in in case the lineup rolls over again in extras.
