    Senate 2026

Judging from the tv ads running in Juneau in October there are a lot of people who fucking hate trump
  4. She should run for governor instead
  5. In case you missed this from last night, Stewart brilliantly covers that.
  6. That game winner that Fox missed a few weeks ago, when they didn't give Wemby a look, seems like eons ago. This is why he's paid the money. Harper looked great, Barnes is still Mr. Reliable. I knew we needed vets, but didn't realize they would make this big of a difference. Barnes and Fox have been great stabilizing forces this first half of the season.

  8. Can you tell Sark this?
  9. The good news for Blue is that this franchise will keep him around for 4-5 years and refuse to cut him, because they refuse to churn the bottom tier of the roster.
  10. If the ultimate point of the playoffs is to pit the 12 best teams in the country against each other to maximize competition and watchability (recognizing in its current form it’s still imperfect because we have to include automatics that have no business in the playoffs - like the NFL division winners despite their record), for fun let’s look at who might be real contenders in a true bracket. I’ll include the cuspy teams on the bubble (eg Vandy, Texas and Utah) as the “top 12 best teams” to compare head to head records against the “top 12”: tOSU 1-0 Indiana 1-0 Georgia 2-1 Tech 2-0 Oregon 0-1 Miss 1-1 A&M 1-1 OU 1-2 Bama 2-1 ND 0-2 BYU 1-1 Miami 1-0 Texas 3-2 Vandy 0-2 Utah 0-2 Georgia, Tech and Bama could make a run. Those that haven’t played as many top teams are somewhat debatable. And some of these teams have no fucking business being in the mix. I actually think tOSU with their “lackluster” win against us is questionable to win it all and repeat. In short, total wins, and really losses, matter most at the end of the committee selection days
  11. There’s a lot of wriggle room in “won’t punish teams for playing in the CCG.” Under strictly legalistic terms, you’d say “no team should slide even one slot no matter the result of a CCG.” But that seems fairly stupid and by that reading Ohio State-Indiana has no meaning whatsoever save the conference trophy. A less legalistic reading might be “if you were in the field before the game, losing won’t make you drop out.” (Which explains more of Bama’s rise than the bullshit “we did it cuz we felt like it.”) But even that hardly seems sustainable long term.
  12. I complained the last couple of years about the dumb ass offense Sark ran. I agree, Ewers would have killed it in a 4/5 wide spread offense. Mike Leach would have had him pass for 10,000 yards.
  13. Rodney Terry on the call for Mizzou/ND on the U.
  14. sadly many local news outfits are nothing more than stenographers for cops, so if the police spokesperson used that copspeak it will be regurgitated in the news story.
  15. The College Football Playoff . . . Now with more slop!
  16. I don't think they'll do it because the playoffs will expand to 16 teams in January.
  17. Hank would be a major upgrade on this staff over Chris Jackson
  18. Leave it up to our AI Gods. That’s what I said? The ones that think they can contend better load up their OOC schedule to prove some shit like Boise used to
  19. thank you, this was bugging the hell out of me! i've unfortunately seen a body that fell just SIX stories - it was gory and frankly traumatizing, a picture i couldn't unsee for literally years. a 17 story fall, the body is going to be a lot more than 'unresponsive', like wtf people!
  20. How about don't include the G5 at all. Or the ACC and Big 12 for that matter.
  21. C-Man

    Senate 2026

Jasmine Crockett thinking about joining the race for Cornyn’s US Senate seat. https://www.texastribune.org/2025/12/02/jasmine-crockett-senate-texas-allred-talarico/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQKNjYyODU2ODM3OQABHlf3cgJf6Zeftfw93uu_abS4o2oQce6u3AMRZkk6311GBMsTlIDBlleBFKPh_aem_jn1s1bem3yh3SwMv2UpPMg
  22. lol at this one. I mean yes, that’s clearly what the committee thought because that’s what they did. But it’s a long fucking way from an explanation. “We felt that was enough. Because….metric?”
  23. It is laughable that the AD for fucking Arkansas is the chair of the CFB Playoff Committee. WTF does he know about good football, let alone championships? It's a real-world Dilbert comic.
