Turnout > changing people’s minds

This is kind of a necessary evil so Slot can point to what's not going to work going into next season and what positions they will need to purchase. Cody got balled with the ball.
-
my dream is the voucher shit went one step too far and we actually make a dent in the state legislature and congressional races. it's still too much to ask for state wide offices.

Soft yellow there

Absolutely correct. Hopefully at least some people might figure it out and I am pretty sure many of the people having their faces devoured by leopards will help swing the mid terms. Seeing these school board results in Texas is an early, encouraging sign.
-
And possibly even more than that, will those who remain passive forget all this shit conveniently. Like they seemed to in 2024.

Curtis Jones has not been good today.

Man what a game they looked dead in the water then Mikko said we aren’t losing this and drug his nuts all over the Avs face . Love it

His post was dumb, but this response is hilarious. -
I've seen reference to this, but finally heard it for the first time on the radio. It's a fucking campaign ad made by a government agency spewing lies. Hearing it via the public airways was more than disturbing. On the radio, amid slobbering praise and gratitude to President Donald J. Trump (I suppose she made herself close enough to the national mushroom to dispense with the "sir"), she names a couple of horrible felon gangmembers whom they've succeeded in deporting. I see the TV commercial is a testimonial for Bully Boy Bonespurs with numerous images. If argument or reason had any place in what used to be public discourse, one would be interested to know where these villains were apprehended. Already in jail here? If not, why weren't they apprehended before because of their crimes? What percentage of the persons you've seized in SWAT operations were like these men? Oh, yea, don't forget this question, "Are you aware that you are a NAZI brutally persecuting the innocent to enflame more hate in order to solidify an autocrat? How do you handle the consequence of people dying, being physically harmed, or having their families destroyed as a result of your actions?" The rope. For all of you.

Also, it occurs to me that some aspects of the agreement in question, because not governing an employee/employer relationship, might be construed more as a non-disclosure agreement, which generally aren't treated as negatively as covenants not to compete.

couple of days off for any player isn't alarming

great breakdown of the goals in game 7

Happy you noticed/felt that. Definitely intentional to time it with bass kicking in.

I saw this yesterday. I thought it was utterly ridiculous but still somewhat entertaining. Autist Affleck speed dating and line dancing and the army of kid hackers were all really out there. Bernthal was barely in the first one but pretty good here. Brining back J.K. Simmons's boring no-personality assistant and having her carry like half the screen time was a weird choice.

The Dallas Stars 2025 Playoff Thread
Longhorn_Fan68 replied to Longhorn_Fan68's topic in Other Sports
are you not? which part do you take exception with? Tell me which Stars player, past or present, is better than Rantanen. show your work. I'm not saying he's jesus, but he sure as shit won that series for us. we'll see if it was an aberration or the norm, but 1.5+ppg lifetime in the playoffs is no bullshit. the Stars have never had a player that averaged that much in the regular season, much less the playoffs. -
Jason Kelly is a very good pitching coach.

Yeah, that whole legal profession was super-receptive to the election lies. And is currently about the only thing standing up to Trump bullshit in a meaningful way.

I honestly don't know -
This seems to be a new and original take for you. It seems to be very informed, and it captures the nuances of law perfectly. I especially like the part where you recommend that the “entire legal profession” weigh in on the merits of his filings before actual hearings or trials. That is obviously much more efficient. I have to tell you, there’s a whole lot of embarrassed lawyers who wish they had thought of that first.
