I made the mistake of taking an old Japanese bus from the 1980's from Yangon to Mandalay in 2006. No A/C, dirt roads, no bathrooms, just locals. Took about 16 hours overnight. Brutal. At one point, we pulled over in the middle of nowhere for a piss break. Couldn't see anything. Pitch dark. So I walk about 15 yards from the bus to take a leak. As I'm mid-stream, someone shined a light and I discovered I was surrounded by women all squatting mid-piss. The men were on the other side of the bus. I apparently stepped into the women's piss area. Who knew there was a system. I do remember a few locals there with blue, knock-off OU hats. Doubtful any Burmese actually followed OU football but who knows.

Yep, oddly enough there's usually some Vietnamese name on the channel like Nguyen. The games that are on network TV like Fox ABC CBS NBC get shutdown rather quick. However, the ESPN networks usually do not and can usually go most, if not all airtime-- purely speculating but it's probably something due to YouTube TV vs Youtube that might make it hard for them to pull it down. Only works for college, NFL games get taken down real quick. Also, the realstreamhub site above is great and I believe one of the guys who helped put it together is here on the site as we've DM'd before.

ChatGPT AI Tool— We all work for robots now

This is terrible and ham-fisted and exactly what I’d expect from an AI “artist.” It belongs on some Facebook slop page for people with brain rot. All it’s missing is an explanatory caption that the sheep represents the viewer. With art, I see AI as the type of thing the worst kind of aspiring artist wants to use as a short-cut. It will be used by people who think they could be artists but don’t have the talent or work ethic to learn the craft or even understand what’s good or bad. Droves of wannabe screen-writers who havesome “brilliant” treatment but is incapable of actually produce a script. And the thing is that the idea itself will be half as good as they think it is. -

I appreciate and respect your opinion as a musician and technologist. I think our impressions and opinions are going to be colored by our beliefs to a degree. What is it we believe to be true about humans, art, music-- heck, the universe even. That said, you mentioned Kendrick Lamar and what made his music interesting, I thought it was an interesting application of AI when in the midst of that rap battle Drake used AI to diss Kendrick Lamar by having AI create a Tupac diss:

Allred gets a primary challenger! Terry Virts Former Air Force, former astronaut. Seems centristy. There's some canned messaging mixed in with a little edginess. 5 out of 10. Yawn OK

Yeah, but the woods next to your childhood house didn’t have professional conservators taking care of them. They had teen kids trying to get the pages unstuck by slowly peeling them apart, only to get them stuck again.

All for it, but not for their reasons. Make politicians tell their constituents they want money for war spending and not defense. Dept of Defense was always a name that made us sound like the victims that need to punch back and not the aggressors we have been. It allowed political parties to grovel for never ending blank checks and pork if their districts had a base or adjacent manufacturing.

The Governor of Texas is a Republican. The Attorney General of Texas is a Republican. The Texas House is controlled by Republicans. The Texas Senate is controlled by Republicans. ALL NINE JUSTICES on the Texas Supreme Court are Republicans. Governor Hot Wheels wants to blame Democrats for the economy and every other problem in Texas.

Two of the guys you listed Sark had to keep from decommitting after Herman got canned. Unless they were 100% Texas all the way regardless of HC in which case Herman doesn't deserve any credit anyway. I'm assuming that Sark also had to re-recruit or make an effort to keep Broughton on the team. Collins was a total project whose career could have gone in any number of directions. Sweat may have been great no matter what. Who knows. I don't think any of them wind up the players they were/are had Herman stuck around for the rest of their careers. Half of them probably wind up playing somewhere else or going undrafted. And if that's the case then those recruiting classes don't look as good. You're welcome to give Herman a pat on the back for Ojomo and Coburn. Two guys that graduated before Texas returned to national relevance. Give him credit for Ossai if you want - who you didn't list - but from what I know Texas' academic standing had as much to do with that one as anything Herman did. I am not giving Herman and co. much "appreciation" for a bunch of guys that didn't immediately flash that Sark and co. had to keep on campus and develop.

That's a terribly narrow way to interpet music and art in general. It isn't just the mere mechanism of production that makes art so impactful to people - it's the dialogue and conversation back and forth in a medium that isn't always explicit in its intent. I mean yeah sometimes in rap, it's pretty clear what their message is. Kendrick out front shoulda told ya. But with that example, what made Kendrick's music so interesting was its context and delivery and collaboration with other artists. Hell, even just as a musician, you can take the same notes and rhythm on the page and produce a wildly different communicated emotion. Music and art is far more than just an idea, it's the execution and context its delivered that brings so much more meaning. When the thing you're in conversation with is just a set of seven hundred billion parameters in a very very very very large parametric equation...... That's sort of missing the partner in the discussion that imbues art with its metaphysical meaning and value. Not to mention, LLM's definitionally produce an "average" of all the information they've been trained on. They definitionally cannot take in and internalize new information like a conversational partner can. It's very literally talking at a wall and you will never convince it of anything, until you spend another ten million bucks on a new training run for your large language model to give it a new set of ~700,000,000,000 parameters. That's just my opinion at least, both as a life long musician and as a professional technical specialist in machine learning and large language models in particular (and a few other discliplines as well, dm me if you want to nerd out). -
I'm planning on the 4.99 sling day pass for our ESPN/2/3 games this year. Haven't decided on an option for this Saturday. Currently looking at antenna options. That would cover FOX and ABC right? Other sites listed here are the fallback. I'll contribute with https://therealstreamhub.site/showthread.php?tid=1466. They were awesome for college baseball in the spring.
