  1. Past hour
  2. You do realize the "Corch doesn't own us an explanation." And "Have faith in corch!" are exactly things we here at Surly deride aggie for constantly. That "trust corch, he got this, he don't owe you shit, have faith" bullshit is straight up 100% fucking aggie.
  3. it puts out the occasional banger. I thought the AI Bigfoot vlog stuff was pretty funny
  4. I was watching Home Alone 2 yesterday with my 8 year old and was thinking Kevin could be charged with attempted murder. So that skit hit close to home.
  5. This sounds like Jordan Belfort's recounting of his night at the country club to the police in Wolf of Wall Street. Can I get the CCTV footage where you threatened to beat up the bus boy and dry humped the pinball machine?
  6. I'm still thinking about how I learned in this thread that Kubiak named his kid Klint with a K. What the hell is his middle name? Got to be Kyle, right? Those people. So weird.
  7. Rod Tidwell 1341 gets points for his combination of punch and pithiness ... lulz. :-))
  8. Holy shit I have fattie on ignore because he’s a moron but I saw what you quoted and that’s amazing even for him. Read what I wrote about him above and you will understand him better. He really needs to ask his mom if he was adopted because an apple could no fall farther from the tree. also your username definitely checks out
  9. This is the exact sort of bullshit messaging I was sold last season. I'll offer you the same bet I did above. I'll wager any amount of money you like no further changes are made to our offensive staff. I will relax when the head coach addresses the issues that have plagued his team since he arrived in Austin.
  10. Hmmmmm I wonder what changed?? Oh yeah, the Arky hick ego took over and it's never been the same since. Since he has pretty much stepped in and assumed total control, he's relegated this team to nothing more than the Houston Texans.
  11. Wouldn’t a better alternative be just put the 12 best teams in the 12 team tournament?
  12. Hopefully the lg loss turns out to be an even greater net positive. The new oleds are really, really good. "Next year we need to kiss UNFAMILY"
  13. Tannehill has to be the best passer in the past 3 decades. aggy seems obsessed with finding their version of VY, but they are all actually Swoopes instead.
  14. Someone said that??? 😟
  15. The important thing, though, is that Reed is coming back, and Elko the Rotund signed a mid-season extension.
  16. I bet the ratings for these two absolutely dogshit games will be low to incredibly low.
  17. I never said anything about DEI policies or the disadvantaged poor, not sure what you are referring to there.
  18. Wordle 1,646 4/6 ⬜⬜🟩⬜⬜ 🟨⬜🟩⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  19. Their defense players often danced, made coordinated gyrations with their arms and pointed to the crowd in between numerous plays ergo the defense obviously played well. Come on dude…
  20. I’m talking about millennial males because that’s who the essay is about, and it’s who I saw this happening to at that time. I infer they are angry because men under 50 shifted from supporting both Clinton and Biden by about 10 to a narrow Trump majority in 24. I never said anything about them being racist, and as I made clear earlier I think this phenomenon was general to millennial men, but particularly the white ones. No, and I don’t think it’s productive to assign them motives, for two reasons: 1) Millennials never listened to Rush or Hannity. I know what you are getting at about media, but it doesn’t apply to them. 2) Their behavior shifted. Trump didn’t win them over. Democrats lost them. But there’s a broader point here and it had a lot of do with my purpose in starting this thread. And I’m going to put it in all caps not to yell at you, but to catch the eye of people skimming a long post. 80% OF THE AMERICAN ADULT POPULATION IS GETTING SHAFTED. And on top of that, another 19% is mostly doing OK but only because they have been conscripted as Janissaries in service of the top 1%. Most progressives (who, not for nothing, live securely within that 19%) would read that paragraph and nod their head. But for some reason, progressives (broadly speaking) look at 28% of those people getting shafted and say, essentially, “fuck ‘em.”
  21. Maybe it’s already been covered but for those that think pbs is not a valid source for this stuff I doubt they will consider the FBI and DHS valid, but here are a couple of studies to consider It’s the right wing nut jobs killing the most people and it’s not close And the following linked article from the NIJ was removed from the government website: Domestic Radicalization, Violent Extremism, and Terrorism: The full research picture but I found a copy here https://www.researchgate.net/publication/382913450_Domestic_Radicalization_Violent_Extremism_and_Terrorism_The_full_research_picture TLDR Since 1990 far-right violent extremism clearly constitutes the predominant source of lethal domestic political violence, while far-left extremism poses a more persistent but substantially less lethal threat. Far-right extremists have carried out far more ideologically motivated homicides than any other category, accounting for 227 events and over 520 deaths, compared with 42 far-left attacks causing 78 deaths This disparity persists even when controlling for changes in political climate, law-enforcement posture, and online radicalization dynamics. Far-right violence—particularly white supremacist and militant nationalist violence—tends to be more lethal per incident, more likely to involve mass-casualty attacks, and more frequently directed at soft civilian targets, which amplifies its national-level threat profile. Far left wing nuts are definitely also a problem, but much less likely to be violent. The NIJ research finds that extreme left-wing and environmental extremist movements often exhibit longer lifespans, greater ideological persistence, and higher rates of non-violent or low-level criminal activity such as property destruction, arson, and sabotage rather than homicide. Leftist movements generate sustained law-enforcement and infrastructure challenges but rarely produce the kind of sudden, high-fatality attacks that define strategic terrorism. If the tldr is tldr: Both sides (BOTH SIDES!!!) are a problem BUT: domestic terrorism risk is not ideologically symmetrical: while both far-right and far-left extremism warrant monitoring and prevention, the far right represents the dominant driver of lethal political violence in the United States, whereas the far left represents a chronic but comparatively lower-lethality threat.
  22. Ej Smith, Moss, Chappell, Anderson, scooby, Regis…..looking over the roster, wow they really benefited from that schedule.
  23. Ignore this post unless you want to laugh at the horrific taste of some insanely wealthy fuck from Ann Arbor https://www.redfin.com/MI/Ann-Arbor/414-S-Main-St-48104/unit-10/home/99381131
  24. C’mon. Bucky Pullign was decent. He won a lot of games with a team that had a sizable payroll back in the day.
