One Battle After Another, the next Paul Thomas Anderson film
Watched it last night and enjoyed it. I did feel that it was half an hour longer than it needed to be, but I've felt that way about most of his movies. I think Lockjaw was great. He was supposed to be a caricature, a mash-up of stereotypes, and it worked, all the way down to Penn literally walking like he had an M-16 up his ass. And I'll say this: in a decade or so, I think what people will most remember about this movie is that it launched Chase Infiniti. As awful as that name is, that young lady is going to be a star.

Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - This Is Fine
Fair question imo. If you take out LIU and FSU, the numbers aren't exciting. He certainly passed the eye test against Texas but still only 4.0 ypc in that game. One thing that's encouraging is 5.3 ypc despite not having a run longer than 26. That means he probably doesn't get stuffed much and is a good short-yardage back.

He’s a potential future first round and should be one of the best in the country next year

Texas Roster 2026
Again, we chose to play Ohio State. We had to play Florida. We had to play Georgia. That is inarguable. That is a fact. If any of our 3 losses had been wins, we would be in the playoffs. The voters 100% left us out because of the Ohio State loss because that was 1 of our 3 losses. Sub Texas State in place of Ohio State, we win, and are in the playoffs. Our football/athletics leadership had no capactiy to sub a garbage team in place of Florida or Georgia. The Ohio State game was within our control, and our leadership failed the program. I know I am being redundant. I just don't know any other way to approach the intellectually hollow argument many of you are making over and over and over again. The CFB playoff committee has made it crystal clear they don't care about strength of schedule, only the number of losses. It's so weird, some of you are so eager to cling to some bizarre element of pride in our unnecessary OOC scheduling, that you are willing to completely divroce yourselves from reality.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Next week will be a challenge - the Patriots on the road. They're a heck of a lot better than the teams he's faced so far (although the Bungles appear to be playing better with Burrow back.)

Dallas Cowboys 2025 season thread: 8-9 and divine. The world according to Jerry
Article on Tom Brady, minority owner of Oakland Raiders, on Breitbart. Maybe this explains the Dak problem. From the article: In recent interviews, the seven-time Super Bowl champ has made prophetic statements, such as, “teams fail quarterbacks long before quarterbacks fail teams.” He has also told how Bill Belichick took the time to teach him to be a quarterback and to read defenses, something Brady claims does not happen in most organizations in the league. The Raiders Have the #1 Overall Pick, and All Eyes Are on Tom Brady PS: Like the new forum format. I can cut and paste without comment locking up.

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but how good actually is Baugh? His stats don't exactly jump off the page at you. One thing that sticks out to me is a season long of 26 yards. Of the top 50 rushers in CFB, that's 50th. It came in the first game of the season against something called Long Island University.

PK to USC might be falling into place.

It’s not though. The vast vast vast majority of guys that are on D1 scholarship will only ever make money in the game teaching and coaching it. For Texas? Sure. For most other schools though it is about the school. Decoupling makes sense if we go to 30 teams in their own league, but if you decouple it from the university who exactly will pay the freight or care? The minute they facade falls the system collapses from a revenue perspective.

Most likely. When you're getting infusions or IV drugs, the veins in one arm, hand, whatever, tend to "collapse," so you have to go hunting for other places. Things probably aren't really bad for him or they'd have installed a pic port to avoid that problem. It could also be ease of bruising due to blood thinners, which actually might make the handshake thing make sense, along with any other "contact." That is, hit your hand on something, get an ugly bruise.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
OL and run game are about the only components I’d blame on Sark. And some of the OL was attributable to Ewers sacking himself and having happy feet. I’m not sure I’d attribute footwork to Sark since at the end of the day, the player has to execute it in games. We don’t know whether he got coaching on that or not. Sark called plays to Ewers strengths, which we obviously saw in the change of playcalling to Arch, so I think that’s bullshit. At the end of the day, Ewers is an extremely talented QB physically with some issues between the ears, but we’re all cheering for him. Except Derka. Also, let’s not pretend the OL for the dolphins isn’t dog shit, so the OL concerns ring hollow to me. Achane is a stud despite the weak OL, and if you disagree Tua’s mush brain would like a word.

But it's true - the calendar is dictated by the school year. Just decouple the football programs from the school system at this point, because it's a fucking joke.

2 RBs, 2 LBs, at least 2 OL, 1 DL, 1 CB, 1 S, maybe 1 WR. Add to that retention fees for guys like Simmons and Goosby, crossing 20 mil may not be out of the question.

If it's a regular infusion as suspected, they probably have to move it around to keep from fucking up his old ass veins. He's probably too vain to get a permanent port.
