Can’t we all just get along? Why do y’all have to go for each other’s throats? What @Hate was probably remembering from his hazy halcyon days was TCU had what some considered the top recruiting class in 1985. Can’t find the rankings back then, but LA Times cited one mag as them having a top-3 class that year. https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1985-02-14-sp-2544-story.html Everyone (except maybe Rice) was cheating back then. Wacker came in, cleaned up with that class, then found out the boosters had greased the palms of the players and self-reported. TCU proceeded to crater for the next 15 years, until GP (not giving Fran any credit) led them out of the wilderness they’d been in since the mid-60s.

I didn’t get past the part where she suggest that we have to obey “our Presidents laws”.

Las Vegas go hard or go home thread
bigup2dahorns replied to bigup2dahorns's topic in Food and Travel
Yep. I haven’t been to Vegas in quite a while. That restaurant was run with the oversight of the old man in the way he set things up. I interacted with him a few times and you could just tell his fingerprints were on the culture of the place. I always assumed the son would take over (I never met him) and keep the traditions going. Little did I know he was a problem and not the future of the place. From reading the comments about it on the LasVegaslocally Twitter feed from earlier in the year, I’m not too optimistic on how this new ownership will do but we can only hope they don’t fuck it up. Someone should post their next experience here for the rest of us to get an update. -
Graf... not fap-worthy? Check again; are you certain you're a heterosexual male? With a pulse?

Almost never. Texas was predominantly a horizontal team last year. Believe the highest rate of passes behind the LOS in the country last year and ton of wide zone. It made sense with a QB that struggled deep and intermediate (believe ~50% comp rate last year on intermediate balls). This year is much more of a vertical attack. Arch's strength is his legs and his deep ball. That said Texas is has thrown an average of 4 deep balls a game this year. They have completed 4 of the 8. Guessing the average per attempt is between 15-25 yards, so it has been a big success. That has been the best part of the offense to date, so hard to criticize that ara of the offense. Now they need to figure out something they can do efficiently to stay ahead of the chains. Tried more gap schemes in the run game. Saw Sark dabble with straight drop back short gamev sSJSU, we will se if that has legs.

They aren't anything fancy, but they have won awards for being the most on-time airline. I've yet to have a bad experience flying Aeromexico. There are similarities between them and the Southwest of yore.

Bruh. Five of em understood the parachute.

Ironically, Milwaukee is who really killed Kennedy. Oswald was a big drinker, fucked his head up.

Time to call in the Gurkhas Heard this story on a podcast a while back - let's assume it's true for the sake of how bad ass Gurkhas are. British army was spinning up a new parachute regiment and wanted to include the Gurks. They were asked how many wanted to jump out of airplanes! Five raised their hands. Officer was puzzled, as he'd heard the tales of how fearless these guys are. He talks to their commanding officer. He then understands that the Gurks didn't understand the concept of a "parachute", and these five tough SOB's took the literal meaning of jumping out of an airplane! When explained, of course 100% of them volunteered. Wild shit.

2024 Texas GameDay Stadium Experience Thread
BurntOrange&White replied to TrashMaster G's topic in Football
How? You’d be charging same price to those who like to be down in the club which is pretty much the entire section then you’d add the new ticket holders on top of that for the seats up top? It’s a similar stadium setup to what Raiders have in their end zone. -
Probably because the sum of the parts would be significantly less than the whole.

I agree with you, but let's not discourage this.

I’ve only met one person from Nepal. She was a former co-worker. Was with us maybe two years. She should probably just do voice over work because her voice was like silk and she had that Nepalese-British accent. She could tell you to take out the trash and you would find it to be lovely. She was gorgeous. And she might do well here but over there they don’t seem to age well. I guess it would be stressful living over there your whole life.
