  2. You better capitalize that G, otherwise He may throw in a strategically placed lightning strike as well!
  3. The problem with the whole package (and we experienced this exact thing in Austin with the very similar Kathie Tovo-Ora Houston affordability approach) is that it: 1) treats affordability as a bottoms up problem rather than a middle out problem, and 2) doesn’t produce affordability It’s kind of the problem with ideology politics in general- voting for for how candidates talk about things rather than the probability that they will achieve things.
  4. well damn .... Michael Phillips, a fire chief in the Marble Falls area, went missing Saturday after being swept away by floodwaters while responding to a call in Cow Creek in Travis County, a Burnet County official said. Phillips was driving an emergency vehicle when he went missing Saturday morning, said Derek Marchio, coordinator for the Burnet County office of Emergency Management.
  5. That little bastard flare up in SW Travis county put out my burn pile. Thanks a lot, god.
  6. Oh, the novel has a perfect beginning: "The Appointment in Samarra" (as retold by W. Somerset Maugham [1933]) There was a merchant in Bagdad who sent his servant to market to buy provisions and in a little while the servant came back, white and trembling, and said, Master, just now when I was in the marketplace I was jostled by a woman in the crowd and when I turned I saw it was Death that had jostled me. She looked at me and made a threatening gesture; now, lend me your horse, and I will ride away from this city and avoid my fate. I will go to Samarra and there Death will not find me. The merchant lent him his horse, and the servant mounted it, and he dug his spurs in its flanks and as fast as the horse could gallop he went. Then the merchant went down to the marketplace and he saw me [Death] standing in the crowd and he came to me and said, Why did you make a threating gesture to my servant when you saw him this morning? That was not a threatening gesture, I said, it was only a start of surprise. I was astonished to see him in Bagdad, for I had an appointment with him tonight in Samarra.
  7. this system, just lingering and then reforming over night

  9. Didn’t he just take the money and run?
  10. They’re government employees bemoaning how undesirable governance is after themselves repeatedly failing to protect the public, so people regard them as an authority on the matter.
  11. Easy first for AA, Noskova simply isn’t very good.
  12. RiP forever together....
  13. This would be true had you guys not left the Big 12 as well. TV wanted the power programs more concentrated and that wouldn’t have changed with a Pac 16.
  14. Cool first season. We dug it. Few eps into season 2 and i can tell why my sister said this season blew.
  15. On ESPN tonight. Second half of a double header.
  16. They want to stop financially supporting organizations like nws, NOAA, npr, etc.... that's money that can go to rich people through lower taxes. They don't even hide the fact.
  17. It would have failed, for many of the same reasons the Pac 12 failed Thats an insane cultural disparity, and all the shit you guys talk on Big 12 schools applies more so to the Pac schools. Far away places that don’t care anywhere near as much about football. The SEC is the only place it ever made sense for UT and OU to go outside of the Big 12.
  18. Watched when I could. Maya's tits were a big draw for me.
