  2. For a non-Playoff game, we have a pretty low amount of opt-outs, honestly. You'll know most of the starters if you've been watching us this season.
  3. I mean, Reagan pretty much got the ball rolling on the societal atrophy that made this mess possible to begin with.

  7. The Commentariat there is top flight and really funny most of the time, but especially on this. Some longtime people in those comments going back to the Deadspin days.
  8. It’s about never forgetting the joy you had as a kid. Too many folks lose this part of themselves. A lot of folks wind up going through some extensive therapy to rediscover their inner child. John Bradshaw, a Texan, did some great pioneering work in this area. Kinda feel like the last two Avatar movies are something he would’ve enjoyed. I have always tried to remember how cool it was as a kid to experience cool things. This movie, for me, made me feel like a kid again. That is a good thing to stay in touch with your inner child emotionally. It’s why movies like this never get old to me.

Wisner produced 1000 yards last year. Couldve done it this year too if he hadnt missed 4 games…and if the offensive wasnt a shitshow for parts of the season. He’s top tercile RB in the SEC which makes him top quartile in the P4
  10. Blah blah blah whatever. I wouldn't want to change places with them in a million years. Their entire football history is constant failure and misery. If they want to twist that into some kind of triumph than go right ahead. We may not be great all the time but at last we have great times to look back on. Fuck the whole "well if we break down top 15 opponents and some strategic period of time then we are better." Well good for fucking you. I don't give a shit. I would rather we have 2004 and 2005. I would rather we have 2008 and 2009 and 2023 and 2024 then just endless misery forever. Sure there was a distant time 30 years ago when they owned our ass for about a decade. But that was a long time ago, we have mostly won our matchups since then. The whole idea I would be jealous at all of endless failure to the point there is even a term for it: battered aggie syndrome. Yeah I sure am jealous of that. Sure wish I could have that in my life. I will take being marginally inferior in some arbitrary metric over some abitrary period of time and have some actually successful seasons over whatever hell A&M fans live in.

Background: We’re close with 2 families who both have 9 YO girls. One is plain looking but is funny and a blast to be around. The other is really pretty but had some serious mom-daughter anger issues. Me to my 10 YO boy: If humanity depended on it, who would you pick to be your girlfriend? 10 YO: I pick suicide. Me: I mean it when I say humanity depended on it. Civilization would cease to exist if you didn’t make a choice. 10 YO: Civilization’s had a good run. We don’t need it to keep going.
  12. Christmas Eve was gumbo greens with smoked turkey and sausage served with chunky smashed potatoes... first you make a roux Christmas day was tenderloin, ham, stuffed mushrooms, asparagus, and since we weren't around for Thanksgiving i made mom's cornbread dressing. never did a tenderloin before!
  13. Lucky to be spending the Christmas break with one of my wife’s bridesmaids and her family. She’s hilarious, her husband’s a really nice guy, and the kids are playing well with mine even though they’re younger. As a return gesture, I’ve made a few breakfasts and all of the dinners. They must not be good cooks, because the daughter has scarfed everything up and made multiple “this is the best …. I’ve ever had.”
  14. It is kind of insane how much whisky Canadians drink. But Canada is in general our #1 trading partner so...not surprising some bad things were going to happen by pissing them off.
  15. Saw this a couple of weeks ago and it really hit home. Watching people pursue the thing they love to do most was pretty cool. It has parts that just tug at your heart with what happens to both of them, but man I loved it. Hugh Jackman really did Neil Diamond justice in my opinion. Would and will watch again. Jackman and Hudson also have really good chemistry as well. It was just a good freaking film that we need more of.

  17. ok fuck it the real problem with @TreatyOak 's post isn't that he's wrong, it's that he's not going far enough we shouldn't just opt out of the bowl game, we should opt out of the regular season altogether face it, we started this year ranked #1, and dropped out of that position after one game, never to regain it. OBVIOUSLY, the best situation is to just not play any games and retain that ranking up to the end of the season then, we won't get a first round bye, but we won't have any injuries and we'll be fresh and rested for the final game "wait Rimbo, this all sounds fucking amazing and realistic, but don't we have to win our way through the playoffs, too?" naw fuck that shit we're riding that preseason ranking all the way to the title game. And then we get a bye on that one, too I'm telling ya, we'll be the first team to win it all without playing a single fucking game. It'll be MARVELOUS
  18. Copy that. I honestly have never seen the reply to this topic button at the too. I've just always scrolled to the bottom. We so have our ways we use this silly site. Pos rep.
  19. I don't wish ill on any of my fellow Americans, but if distilleries are going under I'm at least happy that they're going under in places that voted for Trump. https://www.gosanangelo.com/story/money/food/2025/12/25/liquor-spirits-industry-bankruptcies/87914241007/?gnt-cfr=1&gca-cat=p&gca-uir=true&gca-epti=z114001d00----v114001d--40--b--40--&gca-ft=319&gca-ds=sophi&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook
