Fred rogers died over 20 years ago. All the programming is available on YouTube. You have to invest a few minutes to block the shorts from popping up. That shit is brain damaging. -

I'm sort of philosophically libertarian to an extent, but I recognize that libertarianism doesn't have very many practical applications in today's world unless we can somehow unwind untold government intervention. And even if we did manage to do that, there is still a need for government. IMO, much of what we see on the "conservative" or "liberal" side of politics involves the denial of certain human rights in order to shape society into whatever whichever group thinks it should look like instead of actually protecting all of human rights. That said, my kids have watched plenty of PBS kids shows. I have watched the occasional shows intended for adults. I'm not sure I'm seeing any bias. I mean, there is undoubtedly some sort of bias in any given show because the creators have biases, but I can't really recall anything that blatant. -

It is a very good book. Worth the read. Just ordered a new copy since I am doing some independent studies into the French in Indo China and Algeria. There is a part in The Centurions and reiterated in Trinquer's thesis on the French in Algeria. A capture terrorist is being bombarded about how could he place bombs in market places. His response was we do not have airplanes.

Elon Musk: Nazi traitor piece of shit [Confirmed]

I’ve had matcha served the way it is served in the ancient tea ceremony. Very formal, and also elitist. Nevertheless, its roots are grounded in natural beauty. The tea tastes of chlorophyll, I am told. For whatever reason, it made me think of the ocean. Maybe I thought of seaweed, because it isn’t salty or fishy. It’s not unpleasant, but it must be an acquired taste. -

Media 55 years ago was a bit different. I understand that many of us Gen X wish it were different today. If it were only that simple. -
I don’t understand why the Texans haven’t made developing and protecting CJ the number one priority. Upgrading the oline isn’t just about allocation of resources and balancing the strengths of the team, it’s about allowing cj to reach his full potential.

UAP Pentagon Report (UFOs, Foo Fighters, Commie Drones)

I'm a firm believer that the Americas were much more populated and advanced than previously thought. I think there is enough evidence to put the Clovis first hypothesis to rest, although I haven't seen any convincing evidence that any pre-clovis civilizations were particularly widespread. But looking at those images, I can't help but think there is a strong possibility that those scientists are reading more into the data than it says. I'm not saying I don't think it's a possibility, but prehistoric anthropologists seem to be pretty clanish and not welcoming of any hypothesis that contradicts their beliefs. More so than most branches of science, for whatever reason. Maybe it has something to do with funding and some kind of intense rivalry on who can come up with the best solution to the questions. It would be pretty cool to see those hypothesis validated, and I'm rooting for them, but I'm skeptical. Of course I'm saying all this without having actually spent some time looking into the data, so I can't entirely discount them either. -

A good a time as ever to share this video again. I honestly hope this doesn’t hinder things for PBS. My kids enjoy their shows and the programs there are far more than instructional than on normal television -

This is true. I toured the one in Beaumont maybe during the early 2000’s after they opened the complex, and at least at that time there was no fence. The “dorms” were big rooms with bunk beds and the inmates were free to roam as they pleased. Not that I want to spend time there but I do remember thinking that if you were there with some cool people it wouldn’t be that bad shooting the shit with them all day. People sitting around reading, playing cards, board games and doing puzzles. Remember some guys throwing frisbees outside. A lot of the people there were taking naps. Hardly any guards around. As I recall, there were rec rooms and a big tv room with cable. I specifically recall them referring to them as residents instead of inmates. They all seemed pretty stocked with snacks, boom boxes with cd’s and books. I kind of remember the person doing the tour saying that they had had some residents leave the premises and walk to a convenience store. Apparently, that was against the rules but they didn’t seem to upset about it I also toured the minimum and medium security facilities. They were more like what most envision as prisons. Ate lunch at the minimum and it was terrible. Visited with an inmate who was a former client of one of the guys I was with. He said something along the lines that he was tired of eating corn tortillas and beans all the time because a large portion of the inmates were Hispanic and the menu was designed to the tastes of the majority of those there. I wanted no part of those places but like I said, I could definitely do time at the camp if I had to.

I guess coulombe is always 1 inning? Maton? Either one would've been better going longer. Garcia had a nice 1st third of the year but he ain't it. -
