  1. Might as well make it a Rainbow Daytona since those are super easy to get.
  2. What are you talking about? Texas has four seasons. Kind of Winter, Early Summer, Mid Summer and late Summer. What more could you ask for?
  3. Um, just because Hawley, Paul and other Republicans have taken tons of money (and who knows what else) from Russia and Russian spies over the years and vote against things that are in the best interest of America and for things that help a foreign government like Russia, doesn’t make them traitors……oh wait, maybe that does make them traitors. Never mind.
  4. This will definitely be one of the many negative legacies of Donald J Trump. Below is the most fitting meme to him and all his lackeys.
  5. Was this post to me? If so, I don’t think so as the GMT “root beer” he sold me is still hard to get and people are still on a 2-3 year waiting lists for this model. It also still trades for way more than the retail price with grey dealers.
  6. My cousin is an authorized Rolex dealer and he finally sold me one after 3 years of asking. He always tells me you need to "build a relationship" with your AD meaning buy a lot of jewelry, other watch brands and not highly sought-after models of Rolex and then they will sell you the good models. Daytona will be the hardest to get actually but any stainless-steel Rolex is going to be tough (Daytona's, GMT's, Submariners).
  7. I figured Ric Flair's final match deserved a tip of the hat to one of the greatest wrestlers pro wrestling has ever seen. Ric Flair was a bloody mess in fitting last wrestling match (nypost.com)
  8. Looks like I need a new washer/dryer as I am tired of my wife bitching about the current front load Samsung's we have. I think she wants a top loader but any idea if we should go with an agitator in the middle or one that doesn't have the agitator? I went to Lowe's and they were trying to push LG on me. Any brands I should avoid or not avoid (Maytag, GE, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool)? The Samsung set I currently own has all the fancy features and in 5 years I would say we don't use 99% of those features so maybe I just need a basic set of machines going forward.
  9. Although I am not a big fan of country music I will say Garth Brooks put on a great show last not at Jerry World here in Dallas. Trisha Yearwood was a surprise guest that did a quick opening set and joined him at the end for a duet. Apparently, they were recording this concert for a future live album as they mentioned it a few times. The 90K people at the stadium were singing along to every song.
  10. How would this even work? Wouldn’t CNN or the judge just ask to see proof of this fraud, of which there is none and then throw out the case?
  11. I would think for a good sales person/recruiter it wouldn’t be that hard if you show them the tape of guys like Foster, Schooler and Brock and how it wasn’t scheme but it was that they just sucked and all we need is “fill in this years recruit” to come in and start over that level of player I would think it could be sold pretty easily. It’s not like he had a bunch of NFL talent on that D (pretty much none) and I would argue guys like Schooler and Brock wouldn’t start at most top end D1 schools. Hell, they may not start at most bottom D1 schools. Not saying Pete K is the best out there but you put those 3 guys I mentioned on a lot of good defenses at others schools and I guarantee those defenses would get much, much worst immediately.
  12. When do we get the video of Trump and his team saying this?
  13. As a ice cream aficionado, below are the best I have found in a long time at the grocery store.
  14. Taking the wife to her dream concert, Garth Brooks, next weekend in Dallas. I am not a fan as I only know the Friends in Low Places song but hopefully he puts on a great show.
  15. 1000%. I was talking to a company a few months back about a very lucrative position (way more than my current one), but I found out the CEO wants everyone in the office 5 days a week from 8am to 5pm. Once I heard that I was totally not interested in that company. I had no desire to commute an hour each way in traffic so maybe that makes me lazy or not a "go getter" but the trade off for more money to working from home and spending time with my family (or running up to the golf course to play a few holes in the middle of the week) is more important to me at this point in my life. Not sure if that makes me dumb or smart.
  16. I have been remote for over 20 years so Covid didn't really have an impact on me other than I couldn't travel for 2 years. Now that travel is back to normal I can work from anywhere in the US (I need to fly around and see my customers) but wish I could do my job from another country.
  17. I will tell you that I know a lot of "rich" people that definitely live paycheck to paycheck. One of our friends here in Dallas lost her job a few years ago and she told my wife she had 2 months to find a new job or her and her husband wouldn't be able to pay their mortgage. They live in a $800K house and are your typical upper middle class type people who don't save a penny and have nothing in the bank but spend, spend, spend. I don't feel bad for people like this. I do feel bad for the people struggling to make ends meet, living paycheck to paycheck, that aren't living above their means but are just trying to get by paying for rent, food, and necessities. I bet if everybody in North Dallas lost their jobs tomorrow over half would have no money in the bank within 3 months if not sooner and have no idea how to pay for their McMansions and luxury car leases. Sad but true.
  18. I played golf this morning with a guy who told us an interesting story. He is in the insurance business and he mentioned talking to his account rep/VP from a big insurance company. The VP no longer lived in the US as he decided to move to Sicily during Covid. Apparently, his company asked him when he is moving back and he said "I am not and plan on doing my job from here via email/zoom". The company said OK you do you. Make me jealous as my job requires me to be located in the US.
  19. I can't wait to hear him say the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump and Biden is not the real President.
  20. Yeah, I post on those. I was just wondering if it's just a thing with this board or actually a very wide spread thought process throughout Texas.
  21. I see shit like this and it's off to Realtor.com to look for places other than TX to live. I wonder how many other Texans are possibly considering moving due to the direction of this state. Sadly, there are tons of Republicans in other states that see this stuff and say, "I really need to move down to Texas".
