  1. Sounds correct. April of 1995 in Lubbock the people reporting the earthquake far away were on the 5th floor or higher in their buildings. The epicenter was similar that year- Alpine/Marathon instead of Pecos. I was on the 10th floor of a building in Lubbock and felt it (250-300 miles from the epicenter)- my clothes were swaying on their hangers and my neighbor's fish tank developed waves that started spilling over. My gf and I were on my bed watching a movie and she looked at me and said, "Are you doing that?". At first I didn't know what she meant but then noticed it right after (bed moving, hangers swaying) and that's when my neighbor burst in and yelled "WTF!?!?!?!" and told us about his fish tank. Anyway, tldr- when farther away you're more likely to feel it if you're on higher floors of buildings.
  2. Great time, and @immamac fucking killed it with the carnitas and waygu brisket- amazing work and much appreciated! Can't remember the last time i shotgunned a beer (guessing 15+ years ago) but the festivities today were perfect for it. Great to meet some longtime posters for the first time and see those of you I've known for ages. Thanks for hosting these immamac, and a shout out to @BornAndRaised for all the work he's put in to make things run smoothly!
  3. Hah, right on. 90% chance I'll be there by 3:00-3:30. (Full disclosure- that's the last couple rounds of beers & shots at Barton Springs Saloon speaking)
  4. I'm a solid maybe. If so I'll likely be there a bit before the 4:00 shotgun. Enjoyed the Alabama tailgate but haven't made it back since then... feels like it's time.
  5. I spent a few days in Cincinnati during the Summer of 2019- had an absolute blast and would definitely consider living there for a few years if I was looking to move. Awesome town.
  6. Would anyone object to you having your MIL put down?
  7. She was is Austin for F1 festivities. One of the local media outlets included a photo of her at F1 in the dump of "Celebrities at F1" articles published the last few days.
  8. Brick Vault Brewery and BBQ- good beers, plenty good bbq, and a nice chill atmosphere. It's across the side street from the Gage Hotel and open until 5pm on Sundays. (closed Monday-Wednesday). If you want something fancier, the 12 Gage restaurant is good and the White Buffalo is more casual (both are on the Gage property). You can't go wrong with any of those.
  9. Very well done so far. I've been reading William Gibson's books since the 1980s and love seeing more of his work being brought to screen... super happy we're finally entering an age where it can be done well for some of it.
  10. I fucked your mom last night.
  11. Wow, you sound like a huge fucking douche. Sorry about how your life turned out.
  12. I saw it at Fantastic Fest last week, super gory and violent. If that's what you're looking for you will not be disappointed.
  13. That was a lot of fun. Cheers motherfuckers!
  14. Oh good, I'll be there in 20-30 to help kill those.
  15. First comment under the video is "Aw you and your dad seem to have a good relationship ❤️" lulz
  16. I got my 4th draw invite yesterday, so it looks like they're still working their way through the list (last draw was early-mid April). I haven't yet had Covid according to any of my previous draws- I guess we'll see if that has changed (I've certainly been exposed plenty). I had the booster in early November 2021 (regular booster, not a full 3rd shot) and in April my S antibodies were still out of range.
  17. I watched it last night- holy shit, what a crazy fucking story.
