  1. Rio Grande Gorge bridge near Taos: (walked across this one) HW 90 bridge over Pecos River: (biked across this one)
  2. You want those bridges to shake a little. Shake so that they are less likely to break when shaken by an earthquake.
  3. A rapist, a bible salesman, a shoe salesman, and a bankrupt businessman walk into a bar. Bartender says "What can I get for ya, Donnie?"
  4. more like "waddle for your life" amirite? this would be my choice for a soundtrack:
  5. Has there ever been a more appropriate post for a rage rep?
  6. Auggie: I'm out, I'm in, no wait I'm out again. I got one more episode. If it doesn't blow me away, I'm probably out for good.
  7. I'm not sure which actress you are referring to, and I agree.
  8. I'll call my teen daughter, and she'll immediately text me with a "what's up". Infuriating. /old man rant over
  9. was that in book 1? If so, I don't remember it, but it was a long time ago. (I didn't read the other two)
  10. Goddamn, the old man bitching on this thread is spectacular.
  11. Truth. I was pounding the gin and tonics when I rode the chunnel.
  12. I have two eps left, and I'm feeling a little meh, but I'll finish the season off. I did read the first book many years ago, and vaguely remember some of it. Favorite part of the book was the computer made up of millions of soldiers holding flags. I was hoping the adaptation would go into that in detail, but it makes sense they wouldn't spend too much time on it. Slicing and dicing the ship was dumb. Was that in the book?
  13. Yeah, me too. Borderline claustrophobe over here.
  14. gave this one a "prepare your anus" rep. Seemed appropriate.
  15. Toll: Yes (prior to collapse)
  16. Some mockery at my right wing neigbor. He put up some sort of Walmart special flagpole, then ran a dOTaRD flag up it. It lasted a couple of days, maybe a week (not sure on the exact day it went up), before the wind bent the flagpole over at the base and it just fell over.
  17. ^^^^The two-time convicted felon William James Clark impersonated a U.S. Army captain at the disaster scene for two days. Clark's efforts included directing FBI agents and appropriating vehicles and equipment for the rescue effort, before fleeing the scene. Clark was later apprehended in Canada.[7] Inertia is a bitch
  18. At least you don't have to spend an hour looking for the battery. Well don't you feel like an asshole now.
  19. wearing a MAGAT hat takes the punchableness to another level
