    Getting old sucks

I hate this thread so much. I got into a fight with my 14yo son Friday night. Nothing malicous, just a sparring fight. I pulled my punches but he didn't. I think I have a broken rib. I was getting tired, so I worked him into the fence. He didn't like being cornered. He was so happy to get out of that corner, he didn't realize I was working him toward the pool. PUSH! SPLASH! My ribs hurt.
  2. I was thinking a Hugh Hefner party would be a good choice. Then you guys bring up a Grateful Dead show. Here is my answer:

It works.
  4. What the fuck? I'm pretty smart, but I have zero knowledge on this thing. For fixed-bed hydrocracking units, proper feedstock preparation is necessary to minimize catalyst poisoning and give high yields and a long catalyst life. Many hydrocracking units use a hydrotreating reactor before the hydrocracking reactors to convert organic sulfur and nitrogen compounds to hydrogen sulfide and ammonia to prevent reduction of hydrocracking catalyst activity and deterioration of yield structure. During a run, the reactor temperatures are gradually increased to maintain a constant severity of operation (constant degree of sulfur or nitrogen removal or constant conversion level). Increasing the reaction temperature increases the cracking rates faster than the hydrogenation rates, and more of the feed is cracked to gases and coke. This results in lower yields of desirable products and less profitable operations.
  5. It sounds almost like a prank call.
  6. Time to go get the papers, get the papers.
  7. That’s pretty awesome. Kind of Star Trek executive from the top. Cool side readout.
  8. What's going on here. I never understood where to put a bunch of speakers in a truck.

  10. Comparing anything about America to small countries with homogenous populations makes no sense at all.
  11. That was fucked up.
  12. I just finished watching a show about some interesting byrds.
  13. Tunnel youtube guy was posted upthread. I watched all of the hours in pure fascination. His arched tunnel metal fabrication is rediculously amazing.
  14. I would like to see these baby blue hippo boots please. That's an exotic I never imagined.
  15. Totally agree. Boring and lame.
  16. Stetson going in for a nail trim and teeth cleaning tomorrow morning. Oh yeah, they are going to chop his balls off too. I feel really aweful for the guy, but Bob Barker knows best, right?

Shingles. Fuck that. My dad RIP got shingles inside his eyeball. Yeah, he had shingles on his retina. It was awefull. He had this schedule of something like 14 eye drops a day, 4 or 5 different types of drops. I would have probably killed myself if that was me. I'm 45 and I had chicken pox when I was a kid like everyone else. Does the shingles vacine actually work to prevent shingles? How does that work? I would rather not have to kill myself over eyeball shingles in my golden years.
  18. The show is fun, but it really is a cartoon.
  19. My freeze guard failed this time. All pumps and pipes and valves frozen. I put it in standby/service mode to let it thaw. Awesome.
