  1. My 25 year old Justin ostrich boots need another resole. I think I've had them resoled twice by Austin Shoe Hospital. I'm worried about using them again for such an ancient pair of boots. Can someone recommend a higher end repair shop near Round Rock? My mom gave me these boots when I was 20, so I really want to keep them alive.
  2. I have been using the portable type goals with the water-filled base over the years. I park next to it and I have run over the base a couple of times fucking it all up. I'm thinking about going in-ground. My concern is the longevity of the pole that goes into the concrete. If that thing rusts or breaks, I've got big block of concrete to deal with for a replacement. Any experience with this?
  3. Threads. Damn. No punches pulled.

    Getting old sucks

I’ve got a readers glasses story that involves hookers and blow. I’ll write it up later.
  5. There’s a one word answer.
  6. I have been asking a question to folks lately to test their IQ. Why don’t all planets have rings? Dont look it up. Think on it and answer. You have to ask the right questions first.
  7. Another Christmas where I heat the pool up for a family pool party
  8. A side note: I used roofer yard signs to hold up the Shoot-N-C targets. They worked perfectly. I also brought roofer sand bags that I use for holding tarps down on metal or tile roofs. I set them up along with yoga mats to make a prone shooting position. They also worked perfectly. My son (14) was shooting a spread the size of a quarter in prone position with his inherited 22 automatic rifle at 30 yards with open sights. That's pretty good for his first day with live amunition. His uncle was spotting him with glass, but it wasn't really needed with the glow shot targets and my son's young eyes. It was a great day and we ran out of time before we ran out of ammo.
  9. It’s probably jammed with a plastic lid or bottle cap. This tool comes in handy for figuring stuff out. $16
  10. I dated a chick in HS that looked just like her. Maybe her mom? I’ll look into it.
  11. We had a fun day target shooting this weekend in Abilene. It made for a nice afternoon away from the women with my older son and my brother. More guns not pictured.
  12. Abilene Christmas weekend. Merry Christmas!
  13. Retrax is the best. It doesn’t obstruct your rear view when rolled up. You lose a little bed space for the canister though.
  14. GOOD GOD CAN YOU STOP BUYING STUFF FOR ONE FUCKING SECOND?
  15. Howard parties and pulls tail. Great wingman.
  16. That was excellent
  17. There were so many things I disliked about this movie.
  18. That was a great lecture. The sports analogy at the end was fascinating. He talked about being able to see an alerion deflection before an enemy actually starts the turn. He compared it to sports athletes that can read their opponent with micro movements or watching the eyes.
  19. Hunter/Killer on Netflix was great. High stakes Naval warfare.
  20. I love my Cartier Roadster XL. My wife has one also with a pink face. My Roadster quit keeping correct time a while back and I had a ding in the case. I had it fixed last year and that cost a thousand bucks. It's great having it back in the rotation as a working watch and not just a pretty bracelet.
  21. Laco
  22. I’m no expert, but I would guess wadding separates the propellant charge from the explosive package that has some sort of fuse.
  23. The machine should involve fire, pendulum, other steps, then maybe a water feature that puts out the fire/match.
  24. I have a new respect for wheels and tires. They’re fucking heavy. I got pinched a while back and finally got assigned some community service. They sent me to the Wilco fleet mechanics shop last week for my hours. I had to sort out and move and generally fuck with a hundred huge fleet truck tires all day. I constantly considered letting one get away from me and see how much shit it would fuck up. Pics of some of my fun day. Also, these were the most inept mechanics I have have ever seen. It took three of them an hour to change and balance a tire.
