  1. No. And I’m still not sure how all of you and your typewriters fit inside my phone.
  2. I saw that recently after about 50 years. There are several scenes that seem extremely slow with the music waxing and waning elegantly while Sophia Lauren gazed serenely standing on a stairway or something - and I realized that anyone watching it on their TV today would have no idea the entire purpose was to allow wide screen Cinemascope to convey an image of grandeur that is completely lost on a small screen. Also, cinema aficionados agree that Sophia Lauren had great tits. RD, when people ask you about it, you could also mumble some barely intelligible comment about “Heidelberg” and “epee”…
  3. Aye, there’s the rub… …and I’m not referring to Donnie asking the 13-year-old girl to wear a glove while he got a hand job.
  4. These various surveys suggest that the Epstein issue could be more of a problem than everyone pooh-poohing the idea that they will ever turn on him on any issue. Much like evangelicals and Catholics with the single issue abortion situation, 20 to 30% of GOP voters buying into QAnon is certainly significant. While MAGA voters tend to be super flexible and hypocritical on ignoring Trump’s stances on issues when he changes his mind, willing to go with him on whatever his new belief is, my gut is that this won’t be the case with pedophile conspiracy QAnon believers. Many of these people viewed Trump is the only person who could end the Hillary Obama international pedophile Cabal. If you look at the J6 TTom posts, he was all about that issue. I do not think that the TTom’s of the world will simply wave away the news that Trump’s name is all over the files and that he had the FBI redact it, and has let Epstein’s trafficker in chief get out of a maximum security prison and over to clubfed in Texas. I think it will make a lot of Trump people rage-y. Trump talking about Epstein stealing his employees (to be used in trafficking by Epstein ) upsetting Trump - because Epstein took those young girls from Trump - was an odd unforced error. Talking about “never having the privilege” to go to pedophile Island was also an interesting verbiage choice. Handing out the notebooks of Epstein stuff, Bondi saying the Epstein list was on her desk, only to say it never existed, and Trump telling them all to quit talking about it because they’re all stupid losers is not going to shut them up. My key point here is that the very people who believe this the most are also the most willing to believe the most preposterous, conspiracy theories - and so will be for more likely to believe that Trump is involved somehow than other people. They are hardwired to believe in the giant government coverup, and now Trump is the government. I believe there is some data that a lot of these people are not repeat voters, and it was only Trump that got them back in the electoral process. One of the reasons they returned is to support the man who would get rid of the international pedophile Cabal. If he won’t do it, or if he is part of the problem, then they may return to not voting. Or may get pissed now that they vote and vote against Trump. My ex brother-in-law (ex-Army Captain) is a huge QAnon guy, and was convinced that as soon as Trump took office this time that Hillary and Company would be perp walked in handcuffs, taken to GITMO and then executed. TL;DR. there appears to be enough MAGA supporters who treat the mission to convict and hang pedophiles is as important to them as abortion is to some people. I have a slight hope that enough of them will not vote in future that we might flip some seats if we’re allowed to have an election.
  5. The fact that the crowd yelled louder on “justice FOR ALL!!” made me smile. Just like Russia is said to have a “vivisection morality” - the GOP can be correctly described as having “lapel flag pin patriotism”. The assholes care nothing about their country or the Constitution or our citizens, so long as they can congratulate each other on being patriotic. It is the secular version of Jesus noting the assholes who pray in public - who do so solely to be seen as praying in public.
  6. I don’t think we’re gonna see another republican town hall meeting anytime soon.
  7. Do we have anyone with far better skills than I who can change it to say, “YOU MUST BE THIS TALL TO RIDE TRUMP’S MUSHROOM DICK” Because I still like to respond to Magats on X
  8. Waving sex offender status to own the libs… This should end the discussion about Epstein
  9. Surly IBRX Cabal giddy with the possibility of scoring more IBRX in the 1s range
  10. America - not buying stuff to return to prosperity!!
  11. I know even less shit than you do my friend, but I do think that a trade war with the world, including a 35% tariff on our supposed greatest friend and neighbor, Canada, is not going to help job creation along our northern border. We keep reloading the magazine and firing into our own dick. We grimace slightly and then reload the magazine again. I’m not sure when we will realize this is perhaps not the best thing to do. I worry that the traditional tactic for dealing with a stronger bully is for the weaker guys to all band together. If most of our trade partners just said “screw you Trump, we’re not doing this”, and his precious stock market craters even more, I think it will be YUGE taco/crawfish time. The only question is will that be too little too late if he reduces tariffs on everybody down to 10%. Hell, maybe other nations don’t have the balls to oppose us that strongly, but I don’t think there will be enough EU consensus for them all to agree to the 15%. (I think the EU vote to accept the tariff has to be unanimous, but I could be wrong and I would love to know what more informed people think) But I feel positive that by the end of the year the supply chain problems and tariff uncertainty will start showing up in a more profound way in both jobs and inflation reports.
  12. #teamstagflation But the 35% tariff on Canada should help those northern U.S. border states recover.
  13. 8:44 a.m. ET July Jobs Report Early Friday, the Labor Department said the U.S. economy added 73,000 jobs in July, missing Econoday estimates for an increase of 110,000. The jobless rate rose to 4.2%, meeting estimates. Meanwhile, May's jobs numbers were revised down by 125,000, from an increase of 144,000 to 19,000. And June's numbers were revised down by 133,000, from a gain of 147,000 to 14,000.
  14. This, of course, is wrong. The olds will get less money for the rest of their lives because each year’s calculation is based upon the prior year, so if they hire more people next year and get the amount right next year - that interest rate will be based upon the prior year, which is artificially low due to the firings this year. Preserving the system by taking away benefits! Promise’s kept!
  15. Watching the trade expert on Bloomberg right now explaining that Trump’s latest ‘everyone gets a tariff’ number is crazy bullshit that’s gonna do bad things to the economy, as the tariffs are too high, too short a time period to adjust the price increases, and more importantly, the amount assigned to different countries is flat crazy bullshit that doesn’t appear to be based upon anything other than whim and maybe a dartboard. I expect the market to go up tomorrow.
  16. You seem….not smart. Why not correct that view by contributing with some actual facts - or at least your observations on why what people have been posting is incorrect? Or why not quote a portion or two of his post and give a quick synopsis on why what was said is “absurd”?
