  1. I know it's probably a fluffy cotton tail, but having the bunny shit itself also fits the vignette
  2. Look, man... We all do what we have to in order to subsidize our incomes
  3. I love that stuff... Not only the history, but any youtube videos of repairs or woodworking or forging. Super soothing and really informative
  4. LonelyFans
  5. Right. Because the thing that would have stopped the violence at a Christian School is a printed copy of the Ten Commandments. They seem to be suggesting that having the Commandments on the wall would be like having the blood of the lamb on the doorposts and such (Happy Passover!), but that story is one of violence towards innocent children too, so it might not be the best analogy to go with.
  6. I see that, and raise you:
  7. Bullshit. It's the way the well water used to taste before we changed out all the pipes to the house.
  8. Got it. So, let's crucify Trump and see what happens in three days or so.
  9. Spotify-able:
  10. Cracklin Oat Bran would like a word
  11. I agree about Creed (better than Nickleback, still not good), and I'm convinced that it's the taint of Scott Stapp. Tremonti immediately improved his musical output when Stapp hit the bricks.
  12. I lived in Anderson on three occasions in my life- in 5th/6th grade (late 70's, early 80's), it was the "unemployment capital of the United States" due to collapse of General Motors. BUT, they still had three high schools of 2K plus student enrollment (including what was once the largest high school basketball gym in America). A few years ago, we drove through again on the way to a family event. Down to one high school (and I understand it was quite a series of fights to determine which one got to 'live'), the main economy was the horse track and casino. I guess there's more growth going on out towards the interstate towards Indianapolis, but I never would have imagined how much this place has changed in 30 years or so. (also, that area of Indiana was my first real exposure to real, overt, "We're the Klan and proud of it" racism and white supremacy... there were posted "sundown towns" in the area even as late as 1990).
  13. It's earlier than the Harlan situation mentioned earlier, but same region of the world. The Matewan Miners Strike is rumored to be where the term "red neck" was canonized (miners wore red bandanas to ensure that they wouldn't shoot each other) and is alleged to be the only time that the Air Force (Army Air Corps) was used against American citizens. Here's a pretty good documentary series: And there was a pretty enjoyable movie about this from the late 80's (the full version is streaming on YouTube here)
  14. Indeed it is... let me know if you need someone to ride shotgun and keep an eye out for 'Squatches. Oh, and those mountains?
  15. Sorry, man. I'm sure he'll spank you next time.
  16. More from North Cascades (these aren't mine, obvs): Great hike... Amazing at night And a shitter with the best view in America
  17. It's a National freaking Park, but North Cascades NP is often overlooked by folks focused on Rainier and the Olympics. And it's absolutely amazing...
  18. I've played pick-up ball with him and others (Spade always seemed to be around) in Malibu... really good guy, talks just enough silly trash to be endearing, wants to win but isn't an asshole about it.
  19. Interestingly enough, this verse would not have been considered "Scripture" to the writer or original readers. So, the fact that it's now seen as such highlights the involvement of (fallible) humans in the editorial and canonization process (and seems to set up some circular logic challenges). I'm really appreciating the conversation and such in this thread... Thanks for staying engaged even with the trolls (however you might define them). In this shift to discussion of The Bible/Scripture, I keep thinking about a quote I've heard several times, that says 'Jewish people come to the Scripture to start a conversation, Christians do so to end one.' In addition to the meaning (interpretation) of holy texts we also have to consider the meaning (purpose) of having holy texts in the first place.
  20. Sheeeit... They stopped caring about the flag code when they started using it as clothing and decor.
  21. Furk... I spent K-4th grade in St. Robert (going to Waynesville schools)
