They release EA decision on 2/1. Attended the scholarship zoom call a few weeks ago. They basically don’t give shit because out of state applications are sky high and willing to pay full price. IIRC, the number she threw out was like $7,500 max merit aid.
My kid just got her 12th acceptance to UMass and they gave her a $14,000 merit scholarship.
She's 12/12 with only CU-Boulder outstanding. She's received $175,419 in cumulative merit scholarships at the 12 schools.
Maybe she underestimated the schools she could get accepted to or maybe I should go into college counseling as a side hustle.
It'll be prison labor working the farms. Who wants to pay a Mexican migrant worker $10/hour when you can pay a prisoner $0.25/hour? Jesus, think of the stockholders you libtard communist.
I'd be surprised if the average is below two. I'm across Burnet in Allandale and I wouldn't be surprised if half of the households with kids have 3+. It's become a bit of a badge of honor to have more kids. I can't even think of a classmate in my kid's grade that was an only child. I can name two dozen that were one of 3 - 5 siblings.
Also, Crestview & Brentwood are denser now that many single family lots now having 2 stand alone on each lot.
And then there will be a space shortage.
This is no fucking different than rash decisions to close urban schools due to declining enrollment without looking at neighborhood demographics. A good example is Brentwood Elementary. It was on the chopping block 25 years ago due to being at 50% capacity. My wife grew up in that hood and back then she said there were no kids and all the neighbors were over 60. Their kids had aged out of the schools but empty nesters were still living in their own homes. Luckily, AISD decided against closing it and once the neighborhood housing turned over to the next generation, the school was so overcapacity they tore it down and built a school twice the original size.
Don’t do cellulose. Get the Owens Corning Atticat product from Home Depot. You add half of the compressed block to the hopper and blow it in like cellulose. It’s really easy and no mess. My wife loaded the hopper while I spread it in the attic. We did 20 bags in about 2 hours.
I think I'd rather have adequate insurance coverage and no attachments to inanimate objects in my house than stand around next to a fuel filled generator while a raging inferno quickly surrounds me and my limp dick sprayer.
The only Facebook posts I see are pushed there from Instagram. I only look at Facebook now when I need to give shit away on my neighborhood Buy Nothing group.
For golden visas, I think there's one still available for Greece and it requires only a $250K real estate investment. There's some real awesome ocean view property available for cheap but then the downside is you're in Greece.
