  1. From the look of recent pics, I don’t think she’s gone a day since then without pounding beers like a champion.
  2. I just learned that for NFL broadcasts in the UK, instead of going to commercials, it goes to the analysts desk to discuss the game. There’s a strict limit on commercials per hour on UK television and NFL broadcasts hit that limit by the second commercial break.
  3. Seems shady that the last two $1B prizes were also won in L.A.
  4. It doesn't matter if you have insurance. When I got stents and the $210,000 bill, UnitedHealthCare denied the claim based on the idea that I should've never been admitted to the hospital for undetermined chest pain, so the blockage should've never been discovered. It didn't matter that my PCP sent me over to see a cardiologist immediately and he told me to go get admitted ASAP. The only luck in the whole situation was that I went to Seton and UHC's contract with Seton stated that the hospital had to eat the cost of denied claims beyond my copays. One night in the hospital, the overnight doctor that came in to look at my chart and was there for 1 minute charged me $1,700. He was out of network so I had to pay that out of pocket as if I had a choice to see him.
  5. If any place in New Mexico is going to have a thriving LGBT scene, it's gonna be Santa Fe. You can't have all that fringe and turquoise jewelry without being a little gay. The issue would be is that the gay scene is gonna most likely trend older than a major city.
  6. It won't cover it. When I got stents in 2014, I was in the hospital for 5 days. The bill was $210,000. That'd probably be $350,000+ in today's dollars and inflated costs.
  7. Was that around '85 or so? Some friends went and one was so proud to have collected some of KVE's blood off the mat onto a scrap piece of paper. I just remembered I had a KVE pen. It was triangle sided with his name on each side.
  8. I’d love the movie to be a troll. The trailer scenes are the first 20 minutes of the movie and the next two hours are the mundane details of his daily life in his retirement as an actual bee keeper.
  9. Picked up 4 for face value of $125. It was well worth the membership cost. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Tool Army presale has access to the entire venue and isn’t just relegated to a small area for the presale. I’ll see how the chaos is during the public sale on Friday and price my two extra tickets accordingly.
  10. Tool just announced another run with Austin on 1/31 at Moody Center. I went ahead and joined the Tool Army for $56 so I can get in on their presale tomorrow before the Ticketmaster fuckery begins. I'll max out however many tickets I can get.
  11. Just carpet bomb the entire Gaza Strip and be done with it.
  12. Two options for the name of that firm: And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. or the government conspiracy book:
  13. If there were only a half dozen car crashes a year in Texas, they’d all be statewide news.
  14. Finally saw the new episode and it made me think of a question I’m sure a nerd has an answer for. If the new timelines branch off after He Who Remains was killed by Sylvie, why would there be Kangs in those branches? If it doesn’t matter, isn’t an equal or worse threat that there are now an infinite number of Thanos variants?
  15. Wait until they add home schoolers to the voucher program. It’s coming.
  16. Like every Super Bowl, I don’t really care. The best outcome is probably that they both lose.
  17. I would put our candy bowl out in a bear trap but I’m too cheap to buy a bear trap and too lazy to mock one up. Actually, I won’t even put out candy. Fuck them kids.
  18. Ezra can just talk to a space whale and hitch a ride back to pick them up.

    Outcoached

My favorite WTF play was in the first half when Sweat (IIRC) had his back to the lineman and was just standing there being blocked from behind. The QB then ran by him for a 10+ yard gain. No effort to pursue. Just stood there and watched the play unfold 5 feet away.

Hopefully the roster is blown up as they walk off the field in San Jose. There’s so many needs across the board, it doesn’t matter where you start.
  21. If you’re engaged in a block that started at the line, that call should not apply.
  22. Had it yesterday and it was delicious.
