IF Reese learns to grab a rebound and pass out to a legitimate guard, now that they have one, they'll be a tough team.

Can't pad your rebound stats if you pass it out before missing three or four gimmes.

That is legitimately funny.

Indiana is playing some Brazilian all-star team or some shit in a preseason game and they are kicking the absolute fucking dogshit out of them. It's like 61-24 right now in the first half.

75-24 a min into the 2nd half.   IND made some great moves getting Bonner, Natasha Howard, Sophie Cunningham and Syd Colson.   With CC having a yr exp under her belt while not losing Boston or Mitchell they will be really good this yr

She accounted for over a third of all views in her games last season. Her “fans” are driving all of the growth and contract money they are seeing now.

A few hundred racists online trolls responding to other racist Clark haters does not define her fanbase.

You're preaching to the Choir here man.  But unfortunetly her racist fans are so loud and vocal and the ones who respond in kind to them as well, that it's become a narrative that most of her fans are that way.

You know what they say, the loudest voices are heard, even if they're not a true representation of the fan base.

Maybe for women's basketball, but that has a very small sample size.

Magic Johnson and Angel Reese Launch Financial Literacy Program

Bringing Financial Education to Baltimore Classrooms

The four-session program began last week at Saint Frances Academy, Reese’s former high school, in collaboration with wealth management giant Merrill Lynch. In the first session, students learned about key financial topics, such as budgeting, understanding credit, and basic money management skills.

“The room was filled with energy, knowledge, and purpose. Students learned about budgeting, credit, and how to take control of their financial futures,” read the organizations’ joint Instagram statement. “This isn’t just a program—it’s the start of a movement.

While I laud their efforts, a four-session program makes me wonder if this is more symbolism over substance.  I hope it helps launch something larger...

Will Magic remind the kids to properly budget for bail money for a teammate when they get busted by vice for setting up the escorts for you after a road game?

Some good stuff in here.   GMs think that Indy made the best moves this yr.   I agree.   They did a helluva job.

Which team made the best overall moves this offseason? (via free agency, trades and Draft)

1. Indiana – 64%
2. Dallas – 18%
>> Also receiving votes: Phoenix; Chicago

Which player acquisition will make the biggest impact?

1. Alyssa Thomas, Phoenix – 50%
2. Kelsey Plum, Los Angeles – 30%
3. Satou Sabally, Phoenix – 20%

What will turn out to be the most underrated player acquisition?

T-1. Sophie Cunningham, Indiana – 17%
T-1. Ariel Atkins, Chicago – 17%
T-1. DiJonai Carrington, Dallas – 17%

>> Also receiving votes: DeWanna Bonner (IND); Natasha Cloud (NYL); Sami Whitcomb (PHX); Courtney Vandersloot (CHI); Kayla Thornton (GSW); Alyssa Thomas (PHX)

What was the most surprising move of the offseason?

1. DeWanna Bonner, Indiana – 33%
T-2. Brittney Griner, Atlanta – 17%
T-2. Brionna Jones, Atlanta – 17%
>> Also receiving votes:  Natasha Howard (IND); Satou Sabally (PHX); Kelsey Plum (LAS); Natasha Cloud (NYL)

Which team will be most improved in 2025?

1. Indiana – 42%
2. Chicago – 33%
3. Atlanta – 17%
4. Los Angeles – 8%

It's interesting that Dallas is second on the best offseason moves list, but nowhere to be seen on the list of teams expected to show the most improvement.  I guess they will continue to find ways to underachieve?

They got Nalyssa Smith and Djonai but their main moves was getting Paige (and 3 other rookies) so they will be pretty young.  They will depend more on Maddie Siegrist who has shown some promise but is still young too.    It will be tough for them to make much noise this yr unless Paige really comes in and is a major offensive threat to pair with Arike or if Smith/Carrington really take the next step.

I think the Wings made the right moves, and adding Paige, will get them into the backend of the playoffs. But too many new pieces and too young to really challenge.

And honestly, if Arike doesn't become more of a catch and shoot player more selective, it'll be bad.  Last year I know she was basically the only offense for chunks of the year...but she can't be chucking them in and out of games. She's an amazing scorer, but has to be more efficient.

League tips off tonight.

CC doesn't get started until tomorrow afternoon on ABC (which is cool).

Paige starts off 2 of her first 3.  Looking pretty comfortable.

These Valkyrie uniforms are terrible.   They look like practice gear

Was looking to see when the Fever visit the Liberty only to find they play b2b, albeit a week apart, AS break? in July… on a Tuesday and Wednesday.  You’d think the most marketable player playing a big market team would garner 1 weekend date.

Matchup of the #1 and #2 picks in this SEA/DAL game.   It will be good to see what Paige learned from game 1 .   She will most likely have to guard Skyler Diggins too

They are trapping Paige early.   She hasnt played it well so far.     Coaching opportunity.    Coach has sat her down early to discuss it.

Man, Arike is still kind of just chucking like she was last yr.   They have a PG now who can get her and everyone else easier shots.   I'm not sure if its going to be a problem but watching last night it surely looked like one.   Most of the times Arike got the ball she just did her own thing.   Most of those ended up as wild out of context shots or drives into 2 or 3 defenders.

Why did Malonga only play like 2 minutes? Is their coach just dumb?

I'm wondering if she is on a minutes restriction.      Nneka was absolutely dominating though

Until Arike realizes she can't shot chuck anymore in Dallas, they won't be better.

Yeah, I didnt really wanna go there after two games but she will have to play differently with Paige there now.
