How big of a bump does energy drinks give you?

Recommended Posts

My favorite part is "he's also had several cocktails in the last hour or so."

I've been off energy drinks of any kind (except coffee) since 2005.  I had about a dozen red bulls and vodka at a bachelor party and the next morning vomited all the carbonated red bull back up (and then some) and ripped a whole in my esophagus.  Ended up in a Las Vegas hospital for a few hours and had to see an upper GI doc back in Austin for a few weeks.  I still get nauseous to this day if somebody cracks one up near me and I can smell it.

But apparently the young people today still enjoy the energy drinks.  Having said all that, if somebody offered me a Jolt cola right now, I'd drink it.  Reminds me of my teenage years.

so did your thyroid.

What does this mean?  I’ve been having some rapidly accelerating and unwanted weight loss and I drink energy drinks.  Mountain Dew Kickstart and 5 hour energy, but for a couple of years.

Energy drinks are not good for you.  My comment was( or not) slightly exaggerating possible comic book-like effects.
