Sark is tracking more like Smart in his early years at Georgia when he couldnt get over the Bama hump.If he was tracking like Smart in his early years at Georgia he would have already played for a national championship.
5 hours ago5 hr I do like that Lanning isn't taking a knee here....Sark's would take a knee. So long we've had coaches that didn't want to do what Lanning is attempting to do now. Edited 5 hours ago5 hr by BurntOrange&White

4 hours ago4 hr We missed the CFP, it happens. Ask Georgia and Bama. We went 10-3 and have momentum heading into the 2026 season. Sark should (hopefully) be extremely aggressive in the portal. Edited 4 hours ago4 hr by William Bludworth

Nobody wrote that about Sark.So is Alabama, which is arguably a better job than Texas.Yet Kalen Deboer had to make a public statement to get people to back off. Sark didn't have to make a statement because, well, there was no attempt to get him.My point is that Sark never gets in any lists for hottest coach. None. I think Sark is, at best, a mid-level coach who will produce mid-level results. Yet some of you seem perfectly fine with that. Oregon is not a blue blood and yes I could see Michigan and penn st going for him. DeBeor was being rumored to be on the hot seat this season earlier on. Yeah they’re going to kick the tires. Sark is in no danger of being fired. An no coach would leave Texas if it’s going good. So no one would waste time even contacting him. That’s simple. 6 hours ago, Hank Kingsley said:I guess it does need to be spelled out for you.Oregon is indeed a great job, but is not considered a blue blood/prestigious program by the media. They are idiots. They don't understand the resources and advantages he has in Eugene. Anyone seriously mentioning Lanning to Michigan seriously doesn't understand CFB anymore. There have been rumors and angst about DeBoer since literally Week 1 this year. Bama fans wanted him gone after FSU loss, way more so than the bitching from a dozen people on Surly about Sark. Personality wise, he is not an ideal fit at Alabama. If they would have lost to OU in 1st round of playoffs, it's possible Bama would have helped him pack for Ann Arbor. It seems you have a rudimentary understanding of the college football landscape, maybe a good idea to just let this go.All of this. The nuance is lost on him. 6 hours ago, Hank Kingsley said:You can continue to support Sark all you want, and I will continue to share the myriad of reasons why he's not good enough. I'm actually not a hater. No one on this site has spent more time with the players, than I have and over the last four years, I have learned that they are amazing people. They deserve the best. So do the fans who are asked to contribute so much. This is where you’re fucking up. We aren’t sharing Sark is great and should be the coach. We’re saying your argument is flawed because you think he should be asked about other jobs when he’s never leaving Texas for that reason. Unless it’s the NFL.

2 hours ago2 hr 3 hours ago, Texasrocks said:At this point, Sark is James Franklin. He (usually) beats teams when he has a talent advantage and loses when he doesn't. If he keeps doing what he's been doing, he'll win a ton of games and (probably) never win a championship. He's good enough to beat Venables and Elko regularly and that'll buy him a lot of time and good will. Eventually, though, he's got to beat teams like Georgia and OSU. He hasn't been good enough to do that so far and I suspect won't be as long as he's the OC.Sark has more top 25 wins the past 3 years than any other coach. Edited 2 hours ago2 hr by JBJ

We simply werent ready to go when the season started and by the time Sark got things under control it was too late. Years of work went into getting us into a position to compete for championships and in this era that extends well outside the locker room. I like a lot of the things Sark has done, but this season turned me against him. He fucked around and it caused us to miss a playoff we absolutely should be in. For everything he is being given, this season wasn't nearly good enough. This is the issue. It's not that when he's actually coaching he does some frustrating stuff so we flame him. It's that he full stop fucked it and didn't do his job and got exposed this season. Next season he better be locked the fuck in.
2 hours ago2 hr I’ve read a lot of coaching theories and opinions from both sides of this Sark thread. I really personally don’t know where I fit yet on Sark. I guess I need to see more of who he really is as a program builder and sustainer. One thing I have seen…in today’s Rose Bowl I have witnessed a coaching clinic. If you are watching you know which coach.

1 hour ago1 hr Watching Cignetti's team currently tearing Alabama a new one. Compare how they play full-throttle all game to how Sark's teams played in year five. Indiana is ahead 38-3 and Cignetti looks pissed at his defense. It took Cignetti less than two seasons to build this team. Sark is finished with year five and it's a mess with excuses about babysitting coaches, no featured running backs, and wide receivers who can't catch. But it's the defenive coach's fault. Glad we got that cleared up. But trust in the process with Sark. We need to give him another five-to-seven years so he can really implement his program and come up with a new slogan.
