It's pathetic how Sankey and Pettiti got taken to the woodshed. They held all the chips, but allowed #12 ND in and #12 of their team out. Just absolutely pitiful shit.

this.  so if it ends up Texas #11, ND #12, ND is in and Texas is out.  I bet these pussies also agreed that if the playoff increases to 14 or 16 the number for ND adjusts to 14 or 16.  so fucking stupid.

Because USC is 2-8 against them in the last 10 games.

Just imagine ND cancelled during the Pete Carroll era (1-7) and blamed the new BCS formula.

Seriously, plenty of Trojans are unhappy about this too.

Going by this year, they'll just have the committee drop them to #13 the last week

All Big Ten schools (including USC) unanimously signed off on ND's top 12 guaranteed CFP berth back in March.

That's wrong because an unnamed source with SC said they just found out about it and had to cancel the series in a righteous display of CFB honor!

Who cares? The name of the game is do whatever you need to do to get into the playoff.

Losses are all that matter, so why take on the risk of playing a tougher game if it won't help you? Just get the best record possible.

Until they make SoS matter, this is the way to go.

So why isn’t ND in the playoff?

Because they don't play in a conference

Because they chose to play Miami and lost.

Because they chose to play aggy and couldn’t get the stink out by the time the cfp committee met

Because of other auto bids . If they had scheduled rice instead of texas a&m they'd probably be in is the sad thing

Why does that read as if someone asked Alexia for the most common reasons fans want to fire their football coach and what is the most popular suggestion to turn their fortunes around to win a title?

I've barely seen USC play or even though about them over last 4 years. I don't think I've watched more than a combined 2 full games of action since Lincoln Riley has been there.

And it feels like with the move to the Big Ten that their relevance has dropped significantly. Am I going crazy?

They're just middling now. Their advantage was running over the Pac 12 until Oregon and Washington took over. They showed promise in 2022 getting 11 wins but lost by a FG in the Pac 12 Championship to Utah and lost their shot at the playoff. After that, 8-5, 7-6, 9-4.

You just don't turn the boat around overnight if you don't have a tradition of success, branding, or access to top flight talent.

Some of you just don't understand the Men of Troy don't have the same things going for them that a program such as Indiana does which is why Cignetti took over a ready made program and Lincoln is in year 4 of his rebuild.

the FightOn post caused me to look up the final score of last night's game. USC looked like it had things well under control in the 4th. Oops.

Other than Oregon and maybe Washington the old PAC 10 teams have the allure of Mountain West teams right now.

Also, TIL that SC is cancelling their game with Notre Dame? The game that helped build college football? Wow.
