Fuck anyone who wants to play Iowa.

About the only team that wins from that matchup is Iowa state, and nobody outside Iowa cares.

I think USC is obligated to go to the old PAC 12 bowls for this year. Projections have them at the Alamo Bowl.

The Alamo Bowl has “rights” to the former PAC-12 members (went to BiG10), that don’t make the 12 Team Playoffs.  Most likely the Trojans are headed to SA.

Even as a homer, the Alamo Bowl has recently had a stretch of being the best attended, as well as the most TV eyes of all bowl games, not counting playoffs or NY6 Bowls.

Hook’em!!!

I'd rather play USC, because we played Michigan in 24 and (likely) again in 27

We haven't played USC since 2018

I mean sure...I'm thinking about what prepares us the best for next season...a tough team like Michigan will not only mean they gotta play tough, but also will leave a better taste in our and publics mouth than beating a low ranked USC IMO.

I don't think I can take endless cheeziest commercials for an entire football game.

That is the right attitude to have. Yes, I'd prefer we play in the playoff but I'm not going to be that upset as I didn't think it was happening at all. We'll still get a decent bowl against Michigan and it's the last time we'll get to see our team till late August. All the people who may be upset and come on here to complain or say this is worthless will be the same people dying for football in the dog days of summer.

exactly. easy 6-hour drive, nice weather and Texas playing (and winning) the final game for 8-9 months. I'll take it and have some fun

Pro tip.  Buy your tickets the morning of the game.

Any indication of bowl opt-outs yet? Current Texas > current Michigan, but after the opt-outs on both sides the respective rosters are likely to look pretty different.

Lol, no one of consequence on either team will play in that game. Hopefully our walk-ons and 3rd stringers can beat theirs.

It’s unlikely, why risk the injury? I’d be shocked to see any regular starter out there

or maybe they all (besides Arch) will play to want to earn a spot on next year's roster now that we have the portal 🙂

Wonder how many opt outs Texas might have for bowl game??

AntHill will likely not play since injured.  Malik Muhammad and DJ Campbell might have to make a business decisions too.

I bet it will be exactly like the Alamo Bowl in 2022. If you're looking to go to the NFL, you'll opt out. I doubt anyone coming back will opt out. Hill would make sense given the recent injury.

There will be thousands available and you can pay a fraction to sit as low and middle as you want.  Its a random bowl game in Florida for teams from Texas, Michigan/California.  There is no fan base local.

Yep, Arch will now throw for 4 TDs and Wisner will rush for 2
