Yep- you nailed it.

Frustrating game to lose when we leave a village on the base paths and they get 5 unearned runs, 4 of them on a crawford box wall scraper that was coming straight down.

Oh well, good series win against a pretty good team without any of our big boys pitching.  Go sweep the White sox for a 5-1 week and we will probably be in 1st.  Quasi successful big league debut for Blubaugh- he wasn't in over his head even if things didn't completely go his way on the scoreboard.  Now, we get to watch LMJ throw his first pitch in 30 months against a AAAA team in Chicago.

All in all, I guess I’ll take a 16-14 record through April.

If I could change one thing (other than having Arrighetti sit his ass on the bench instead of picking flowers in the OF during BP) it’d be to flip at least of the games in Seattle when we were Espada’d bringing in Taylor Scott who promptly blew game 1. And then the complete bullpen implosion in game 3 up 5-0 through top of the 8th only to lose 7-6.

I think (hope) that Wednesday loss in Seattle will be the worst loss of the season for us.  Hopefully it ends up meaning nothing.

The Astros offense is performing horrifically- with a sub 90 ops+  Guys that are capable of hitting with good track records in the bigs suck.  We could have buried ourselves (like we did last year) with that horrific offensive start but instead we are a sweep of the white sox away from (probably) ending the week in first place in the division.  It's an acceptable April even if it's not what we'd have hoped for out of spring training.

McCullers's first start in 915 days (bubble wrap him until then)

Because it's the White Sox, it's kind of still a minor league start.

I'm excited for him.

It's May 1, Bitches!

Today marks the first day of you no longer bitching about shit it April.

The pricing staff is dealing and the bats are awakening from hibernation.

Prepare to move into division lead in June.

Hard to believe there are toddles out there that only know McCullers Jr has their mommy’s caffeine dealer.

Mommy isn’t that your barista on the mound?

Wasn't McCullers last start at the White Sox in the playoffs too?

Just remember Altuve hitting a massive tank off that troll looing dude Hendricks.

Good memory but that was 2021.

he came back late 2022. His most recent start was that debacle in game  3 of the World Series in Philly right before Javier and crew saved the season with the no-hitter.

Thats right forgot about that come back.  He gave up all the bombs to save our bullpen.

This whole damn 2.5 year ordeal has just been one long marketing stunt, hasn’t it?

JV is very stuck at 262

Kikuchi as an Astro:  ERA+ 150, FIP 3.07

2025:  99, 5.04

3 years, $63.7M

Anyone signing with the Angels is a clown and needs to be mocked and ridiculed forever.

super close, ties goes to the yankee, obviously.

Brown was better more punch outs and era is basically dead balls on the same. That’s why his WAR was significantly higher. Whatever. Tie goes to the Yankee as you said.

Nearly double the WAR for 7 extra Ks seems silly.  Was their also a HR difference?
