Is wanting my team to lose as soon as possible in conference basketball/baseball tournaments wrong?

Nope. I am relieved this tourney is over. Once the aggies go out, my viewing interest drops to zero.

I remember when Ethan Walker started against LSU and then Sonier took over for middle inning relief against them. Good times. Definitely our A+ squad today.

Those guys had a shutout until Flores booted a routine double play ball. Are you bitching about Walker’s performance today?

I am saying we didnt throw our best guys and go all out to win it the same way that Tenn did. And we barely lost. Had this been a tourney game and we played with our A squad, we wouldve won. Why is that difficult to understand?

They won't. This is the '09 basketball team all over again. Complete late-season collapse and not making it out of our regional is a serious worry

We aren't injured really. Except Spencer but he isn't coming back.

Don't count on our bats for the postseason. But, as you can see, we are good for four or five runs. That will have to do.

He wasn’t he was recognizing we didn’t bring A team pitching. We went to the pen in the 5th? We would prefer our pitcher to last longer or even bring Grubbs in sooner. Bottom line, Schloss didn’t pitch this as a must win.

Hopefully Will will learn how to lay off breaking balls in the dirt and 2 feet outside by then.

The only B squad out there was our starting pitcher who was fucking nails. The pen once he got pulled was the same as it has been all year. How would you have played it different?

What late-season collapse?

Also: the 2009 Basketball team finished 6th in the Big 12, this team won the SEC.

We will win our Regional.

Annoying that the relievers we'll rely on in the tournament wasted a great effort by Walker.  Otherwise I'm fine with getting out of Alabama.

Grubbs in relief first.

The defense let them down.

Even if all of this panned out for your tragic ass, this is just the beginning. There is nothing to worry about.

This is the problem with going 19-2 to start. Any Ls after that is a collapse.

Saunier has not been our dude all year, stop with that. Walker was also responsible for two of the runs. Just FYI.

I dont know if its Tulo or Schloss calling the offensive strategy shots but we need to start taking some early pitches and making them throw strikes.  We just swing at garbage early in the count and never put them in fastball situations.

Forgot about saunier he was in for so little time.

It was obvious that Schloss would try to win but wasn’t going to go all out when there is little to gain. He now knows more than he did coming in. Hopefully, they learned a bit and will get rested up and ready for the run that matters more.

We have a 23% K rate this year. A&M was 22% last year and that lineup was miles better than this one and they still struck out a crap ton.

It is part of the offense. Eventually people will accept it. We make 27 outs in a game and this staff has openly said they are willing to have a lot of those be strikeouts in exchange for more walks and driving up pitch count.

LaViolette broke his hand and is out for the remainder of the SEC Tourney.

Aggy Coach:  "We think if we can get this done (surgery), we might have him back for the postseason."

Hey Corch, what postseason?

I mean that would be great if we weren't Yolo'ing the first two pitches of every at bat. We aren't really driving up pitch counts and looking for walks the last few series.

Who didn’t play that you would consider the A squad?

Yeah that was a supreme fuck up. I’m not too worried about his defense in the post season tho.

Yes. This.

You just have to get used to striking out a shitload.

Pitching was not handled as a must win. We’ve been over this.

You dont understand baseball. Obviously circumstances wouldve been different. Including the pitch you fucking moron.

Saunier did his job. Flores booted a routine double play. Once again dipshit if you were SEC coach of the year how would you have played anything different?

As best I can tell, Doyle and Arvidson had a decrease in their K/9 today.

So guessing they just got lucky in those other 106 innings.

When the strikeouts come with walks, timely hits, and 5 runs or more then it’s ok. We’ve been abused by the same and 1-2 runs per game in the DP era.
