Ha, announcer just spelled out the final 4.

Kavan

Pickens

Canady

Landry

Those dogs will hunt.

Kavan: 2 complete games / 14 innings, 0 ER, 227 pitches

Pickens: 2 complete games + a 1-inning start / 16.2 innings, 8 ER, 300 pitches

Canady: 2 complete games / 14 innings, 1 ER, 194 pitches

Landry: 2 complete games + relief / 18.1 innings, 4 ER, 310 pitches

The aces are back, baby! Today should be awesome - can TK and Canady pitch game 1 victories and not bother with testing the bullpens (or their arms) in if-necessary games? Can Pickens and Landry be effective after 300+ pitches in 3 of the last 4 days and pitching on back to back days after both threw on Sunday?

No game 2 needed for Texas and Tennessee, so we chill until 6pm for Tech and OU

Texas has advanced, winning their bracket 3-0 and outscoring Florida, OU and Tennessee 9-2 (both runs unearned)

I was surprised to see the format of today’s schedule.  Didn’t want to keep changing locker rooms, or just want Oklahoma in both later tv slots?

They've always done it this way. Prevents something like Texas-Tenn needing a game 7, but having to wait for OU-Tech to finish first.  But if OU-Tech need a game 7 after playing their game, they would have to play 30 min later instead of a 3+ hour rest period.

Speaking of, Tech needs to win game 1 today or it's likely over.  If OU figures out Canady and scores a few runs off her early, I'd pull her and play for game 2 than continue to let them see her.

I think we are pulling for Tech because Fuck OU.

Tech is our preferred opponent for a title

History says teams in their first ever champ appearance won’t win it. 2000 Sooners were the last team to do that

If you alternate matchups, you run the risk of no prime time game.

Surprised OU is starting Landry.

Elimination. You have to go with your ace. Just like Tenn and Pickens. Unless you’re Tim Walton lol

Like how she just goes about her business when she strikes out a batter. Canady and Pickens talk so much fucking shit.

Yea, other than the goofy librarian glasses and being a sooner... she's not too bad.

Oh shit, rbi triple into the corner.  If Tech can push this 2nd run across it could be curtains.  Got any more fatties to ph to screen off a steal of home?

Not sure why Glasco put the bat in the hands of someone who hasn’t batted yet in the WCWS, maybe not even in the regionals.

Fat girl at the plate with a runner on 3rd…

Yeah, I have no idea what he was thinking. (Because we definitely haven’t seen that before from TT.)

Pretty spot on quote from a poster at Red Raider Sports:

For those struggling for context.

This is Texas Tech football in their first year under a new HC going up against Nick Saban's Alabama in the CFB playoffs and leading 21-0 going into the locker-room at halftime.

I mean, it’s not the same team as the 4-peat. It’s the same brand but this is a young team with very little WCWS experience.

Yeah but they are facing the best pitching they have ever faced during their 4 peat run. I think that is a huge factor.
