PNG wrecks Dayton 49-7.

on to the playoffs.

Jeff Joseph can freaking coach. If he leads PNG to another state championship, I’m not convinced they’ll be able to keep him.

Angleton stuck it to Dayton's neighbor Crosby last night to remain undefeated.  31-7 IIRC.

Good news for all us TWCP Cavalier fans.  Julian Cromartie sat out last night's game with a sore ankle but will be 100% ready for the playoffs.

He got his ankle twisted pretty bad in the game against TWHS but came back and caught 3 TD passes for over 130 yards, played the next week for a little bit against Cleveland.  I guess the staff wasn't going to take any chances going into the playoffs in a game we wound up winning by 40 points without him.

Think About It GIF by Identity

Have you heard anything about a district executive committee meeting about Cromartie? Heard something about it from an employee of a nearby district that would have access to info like that

Haven't heard a word.  I assume that's TWHS getting butthurt that CP finally beat them?  The irony would be thick considering TWHS poaches standout players from several schools in the area.  Hell, they had Quannel X's kid on their roster for a couple of seasons.

The mighty Dickinson Gators led by Helo Homie Lorenzo Aguirre at QB finish the year 10-0. Watch out for them in 6A D1.

Harlingen wins Battle of the Arroyo over San Benito to finish the year 4-6, but 3-1 in district. Will face La Joya round 1.

Just heard from someone within Conroe ISD its just going to be a forfeit to Cy Park, which might become their first W since Harold Perkins played for them. Your freshman managers could beat them

South Oak Cliff didn’t give up a single point in district play. Outscored district opponents 371-0.

This is why they choose to play such insane non-district schedules, it’s their only chance of competitive situations before the playoffs.

They beat Tascosa last night, and then won the coin toss between AHS, Lubbock High, and Caprock for the 4th seed. The ineligible player did not play in one of their other district wins, so they ended up with a 2-4 record in the league.

Kinda one of those "ball don't lie" things that worked out, but it took a couple of good turns for the Sandies to still make it.

FYI, the real AHS won that district with a pristine 6-0 record and gets a 2-8 overall and 0-6 in district EP Bel Air next week.

So what's the reason?  Maybe some paperwork wasn't turned in before the first game?

Brackets are slowly but surely getting populated.  I guess some districts still have to do their coin flips / coaches battles of rock, paper scissors to get the full fields set.

Our opponent is not officially set, but based on MaxPreps rankings and DCTF enrollment figures I believe we should be matched up against Aldine-Eisenhower at Woodforest Bank Stadium this week.

Would by chance he be related to former Wharton and THSCA President Eddie Joseph and long time Katy coach Gary?

If so,  saying he could coach is redundant. The damn Shanahan family of Texas High School football.

Wait, you don't think Quannel moved to The Woodlands for a couple of years only to decide he would rather live near  the Ship Channel as his son finished his career at GPNS?

Nah, I get that. They're still paying a penalty there, but it was pretty unique how it all happened.

Bottom line: they're still alive.

Impressive feat n that you would think in 7 games someone would have fucked up at least once to allow a score, but I do think SOC needs to have a slope rating applied to their district record and stats because that is a TERRIBLE district and has been for years.

Samuell is the second best time in that district and their 7-3 record looks decent until you see their out of district schedule was against Molina, Conrad, and Kemp who finished the season a combined 2-28.

You a native Texan or ever been outside a major city?

To be fair, LC-M hasn't made a lot of runs in the POs like WOS or Newton. I bet a lot of folks don't know the school or if you asked them to point at a map within 100 miles where Mauriceville was.

Dem Bears are a smaller school in the Beaumont area.

Which should mean a win as the Aldine's are a shadow of what they were a decade or so back.

As bad as some schools recruit football players in the North of Houston that is nothing compared to recruiting in high school baseball.

If we get to the third round, it looks like we could be playing DeSoto.  Coach will be fired up for that one, but we have to get there first.

We is your projected second round as Collins projects to TWHS and Klein projects to Oak Ridge.

Second round would be against the winner of Magnolia vs. Cy-Lakes.

That's some bullshit.  Beau Trahan wouldn't have stood for that.

As someone that played in the sandpit they used to call a field I guess it's good they have turf now.

Fuckers knocked us out in the 3rd round my junior year.
