We are somehow only 3 weeks away from the start of the NBA season and our Rockets should be one of the better teams in the league.  Obviously, Fred Van Vleet's injury sort of dampens things going in to the season, but the Rockets still have a chance to be as good as anyone in the league outside of OKC.  Amen Thompson, Alperen Sengun, Jabari Smith, and Tari Eason are all a year older and Thompson & Sengun look like they could be perennial All-Star's.

Did I mention that Kevin Motherfucking Durant now plays for the Rockets?

The regular season tips off on 10/21 @ OKC - which just so also happens to be the return of the NBA on NBC:

Let's fucking go!

Man, Steven Adams is so easy to cheer for, just a great character. Also appreciate that he understands his role, accepts it, and excels at it.

He’s even ready and willing to come of the bench while fishing.

Not to kill the good vibes, but DFS is going to miss the opener.

Personally, didn’t particularly like that signing because we’re a bit overloaded with bigs.

I took it as a best possible winning player signing. Also pissed off the Lakers who counted their chickens too soon.

Westbrook isn’t a winning player. He helped the Nuggets last year because he the only bench player they could play.

He’ll take one look at the PG room in Houston, and demand a starting role and heavy minutes.

Yup

46 wins with the amount of talented wings this team can throw at teams. ESPN is sniffing their own farts again. This whole notion that VanVleet is irreplacable is just retarded. Durant and Sengun are more than capable of running offense without the ball stopping black hole that was Jalen Green in their way.

Jabari looks a bit bigger/stronger. Positive sign.

I think it's all about confidence with Reed Shepard. He needs to embrace his larger role this season and never give it back.

It's awesome to have Capela back and he looks like a great fit already.

Y'all have no fucking idea how much fun you are about to have watching this guy play basketball.

You're telling a bunch of people who went to Texas and have followed Texas sports how much fun they're going to have watching Texas basketball's most famous player in the NBA?

I think everyone here is pretty familiar with KD. As they should be.

We have a thread for all the former Horns in the NBA (and there's a lot) and then we have a 51 page thread solely dedicated to KD's NBA highlights
