I've mentioned on here before that my family, through marriage, has land right next to Hamilton pool. Not a cabin. LAND. private roads and shit.

Haven't been in 15 -16 years maybe more I know it has to be God awful different

I was just there this weekend. I love the area. The price of land is very expensive in that area. Great place to live but still be close to Austin.

Still great but very different than the Drip I grew up in. Expansion at the Y will be amazing but closer to Drip itself you really feel the strain of growth without the infrastructure to support it. If you're near Hamilton you have great access to Bee Cave, etc. Beautiful country out there.

That area totally sucks. I’d condescend to take it off your hands and/or work the hunting rights. Just let me know.

Beautiful area. Likely gonna be outta water in 5-8 years. Same with most of area between austin, san antonio, and fberg

Is there a resource that addresses this? I was wondering about that, and whether wells will go dry. I’ve heard that about the area northwest of Austin too.

Just a primer

There are a lot more articles and research online that are in line with this as well. From what I have read, west of I35 is a complete crapshoot for moving to in the near future

What are you hoping to learn?  Wanting info for travel, moving there, development?

Not from Drip, but I've been out here for 20+ years.  Happy to share my good / bad / ugly if you provide some more insight on what you're looking for.

If you’ve ever encountered an old guy out there who corrects you when you call it Drip or Drippin’ and politely informs you that the town has a perfectly beautiful name and that there’s no need to shorten it to something that sounds like your goddamn venereal disease, tell him I said Hi. That’s my old man.

He bought land there in the 1970’s and it was our weekend getaway until he moved there full time 25 year ago. He loved it for a long time but it’s not the same little place it was before. “Bro-dozers, red hats, and fake shit-kickers” (not sure… I never ask). He had enough and just recently moved away and put the place on the market.
