Translation: John Bianco sent Nahlin a DM, called him a bad name and promised zero access.

A $9.95er wanted a scoop based on bad intel? You don't say?

I’ll say this in defense of Nahlin-at least he’s willing to slightly risk access in order to report on the team.

By comparison, Burton’s unwillingness to criticize UT or its staff in any regard is like a little kid closing his eyes and stuffing fingers in his ears to imagine the bad man going away.

Secondary is fine.  Not super experienced, but stacked with talent.

CB:

Black, Chester, Littleton, Roberson, Matthews, Mack, Howard, Bishop, Phillips

S:

McDonald, Davis, Hicks, Filsaime, Riley, Jonah, JJR

It has potential, but outside of McDonald there is nobody that is proven. Safety was a disaster when the 2nd string came in most of the year.

Littleton played well for freshmen, but he was not a threat to make an All-SEC team. Loved what I saw out of Phillips and Black late in the year, but hard to know how that looks next year over 12-14 games.

Extremely young next year, so any prediction about the secondary being a top unit in the SEC will come with a lot of projection. Can they all play near their ceilings next year? Sure. Is that likely? Probably not. I think Safety needs another adult in the room and at least 2 if McDonald leaves.

Yeah, expect Texas tries to bring in experience at Safety from portal for 2026 season -- Suckeyes game is 2nd week.  😬

Better coaching will help. Akina leaving should instantly improve zone coverage.

no argument, but every offseason we talk about the talent and potential. We usually overshoot on our predictions.
