What did he do vs Georgia, Ohio State, and Florida? You know, when we needed our big number 1 receiver to step up. 15 for 170 and 2 TDs. Or 11.3 yards per catch for our "big play" receiver. How did the other receivers do in those games? Parker- 6-111-1TD, Deondre- 10-156, Mosely- 5-106.

Well one guy is still here, well for now, and the other thought Cal was a better option.

Longhorn through and through.

All we can do is focus on the guys who want to be here as the rest is out of our control. I think it's silly to leave a team with a QB like Arch for the great unknown of a perpetual under .500 team out west that no one ever watches but maybe I'm just the asshole here who doesn't get this new world or why leaving a guy like Arch is a smart thing because you're not getting paid enough as a soon to be 2nd year WR who was getting a fuckton of passes sent your way this year.

And my angst isn't at the player, it's what is going on where productive players are leaving? That is concerning. This guy isn't leaving for money. Sometimes coaches are giving you the coach speak about working hard will get rewarded and you start seeing players who don't work hard getting all the opportunities and start seeing red. It's concerning.

You don't know that he isn't leaving for money. That's the assumption because he's a lunch pail type (read white player). The truth is they're all mercenaries now. Maybe he didn't like how Sark or the WR coach yelled at him yesterday for dropping passes. Jumping into the portal barely 24 hours after the bowl speaks to me as a rash decision.

How do you know it's not about money?

To say you're overreacting would be an understatement. He was an ok player. We will have better next season. He dropped like a third of passes thrown his way. He was decent at finding space on third down. That was his skill set. Our offense didn't have a ton of playmakers. We need to make room for some. That's all this is.

They’re not seeing red, they’re seeing green. Get used to it. This is college football now.

I have people

You have people. Other people say he's leaving for money. Other people say he's leaving because he won't be the featured WR because of Cam Coleman. I'd say let's wait till more comes out before assuming there's rot in the program.

We will see if that's true. Experience matters. Time in a system matters. I don't believe Sark has blind spots in his skill player evaluation because of his short rotation. Yesterday I saw a young receiver catch a tough ball that I haven't seen Wingo catch in two years and he's been on the sideline buried in the roster all season. I may be overreacting. Time will tell.

Your hatred for Wingo is blinding you to everything else. Wingo does thing that no other offensive player on our roster was able to do this season. Livingstone could be replaced by pretty much anyone, including the young receiver you're concerned was buried on the roster. Hell, that may be a part of why he is leaving.

Like maybe Stanford? Virginia?

You don't know why he is leaving AND you don't know what the final roster will look like.

You're bitching because you are pissed that we didn't make the playoff and you are here in this thread because you want to make negative spins about anything that happens and bitch about Sark.

Again, the guy dropped like 1,000 passes yesterday. He was seldom open. He was good for a third down play every once and awhile. But he scared no one. I don't get any anxiety from him leaving.

That was in response to the rumor on the recruiting board that he was thinking about Cal.

Lol. When have you seen me pissed about not making the playoffs. I knew that last year.

From a productivity standpoint we just lost our most efficient receiver. As many yards as Moore with roughly 10 less catches and 2 more TDs. From a freshman.

Preaching to the choir. We are in agreement

Gotcha

I'd save the panic for if someone like Arch or Simmons transfers.

Can your people comment on @RGBIII claim that he asked for $800k and is off to OU?

did we win anything despite having Arch and Simmons?

You think Parker Livingstone asked for 800k? Lol. Okay.

to be fair, the portal opens tomorrow so he needs to let teams know he will be in it.

I don't know what point you're making. We won 10 games, including against all our rivals. If you're just saying Sark will never win, that has shit all to do with panicking because a mediocre receiver entered the portal.

Edited by Dahobbs

I dont know if Cig or Sark chew peoples heads off, for mistakes. Is their a Bo on the staff to hold them accountable ? How do you coach these guys to fix their mistakes when its a players market.

e.g Gibson in a bygone era would have had to fix his fumble issues, now he is gone in the middle of the season. Suppose the employment market was so hot that you would have a new gig lined up before you resigned with potentially a pay raise, would you act upon any "room for improvement" points whether real or perceived ? I know it would be very hard for me.

I don't panic. I'm concerned about the overall picture. We need other players to win. Lunch pail type guys included.

If Lockett takes his place, are you still upset? If not, what are you doing?

I wish McJaggy would stay, but this is the world we live in.

I think Lockett, McCutchen, and French are the future.

Wouldn’t be shocked if we eventually pass on Coleman due to cost

my concern is not money, but if all of Coleman's classes will transfer, especially the Spanish requirement...

Talking heads are attempting to paint the portal kids as the villains because they need that program access to feed their families but it's not always true. Some kids just want an opportunity because they have dreams of playing at the next level. You can't pay attention to everything you hear.

We have enough in house already. We need to spend our money elsewhere.

No kidding. There’s nothing rash about his decision. He’s got to do it. I don’t know what’s behind it, but I’ve read enough to know most here underrate Parker and how fast and good of a receiver he is. I also don’t understand why yall don’t see why we force the ball to Wingo. He’s extremely dynamic with the ball in his hands. With Wingo, Parker and Mosley, and an experienced Arch, that is a really potent passing offense. I could have seen any of them post over 1,000 receiving yards, and even 2 of them in the same season with health.

i dont think they are villians. I am just curious what happens in a day where he plays yesterday and today he is gone. if something had been communicated to him about incoming wrs, he should have opted out earlier.

If we are already paying good money for Lockett, Ffrench and McCutcheon I'm a bit concerned as to why they couldn't get more playing time during the season if we are letting PL walk.

That said I heard we have a HS recruit coming in from Wylie by the name of Larker Pivingstone and he'll have 4 years of eligibility and only wants some air jordans and 2 signed Manning jerseys.

how's his blitz pickup? seriously tho, great news.

IIRC a few pressers back Sark said he wasn’t concerned about our culture. Is this an unusual amount of players hitting the portal? The other day Sark was talking to the press about unreasonable “agents” (not easy to deal with types players have that have no agent experience.) Our Cheez-It win should be a pretty good recruiting tool for us. It’s not like we don’t have the money. If we make smart portal decisions (ahem look at Cig) we should be able to build a team around what we still have and Arch.

I don’t keep up with recruiting nor the portal but is the consensus here something is WRONG and that we are losing players bc of it? Or is the amount we are losing no different from any other team? Is it on the level of Bama or Aggy attribution when DeBoer and Elko were hired?

don’t know what to do with my very sweet Parker Livingston/stone jersey from someone I love dearly. Damn.

not trying to stir up shit…just don’t know what people make of this. I realize there are a lot of wait and see types but is this amount of players leaving normal for a coach entering his 6th season or is it abnormal? Confused.
