Game Week Thread 2025 Game Week 4: Sam Houston @ Texas
Steelers Roll Left replied to Wulaw Horn's topic in Football
I keep looking for positives on the offensive side of the ball, and there isn’t much. Arch’s struggles and O-line struggles have gotten the majority of the spotlight. I think more focus needs to be applied to what has been a pretty mid WR room, at least what’s been put on the field so far (time perhaps for a look at other wideouts in game?). The TE room looks more promising in the receiving game, but like the O-line, have had their own shortcomings in the blocking game. I saw a debate earlier of whether or not this is a rebuilding year. At least on the offensive side of the ball, I’d say it’s that at the least. -

It's not for lack of trying. These kids are so heavily indoctrinated in such extreme misogyny that girls don't want to be around them. The hatred and grievance radiates off of them with every breath. They're threatening and off-putting in a way that your regular socially awkward dorky kid just wasn't 25 years ago. There were always kids that gave off those disturbing vibes, of course, but these rabbit holes are churning them out on a conveyor belt now. -

yeah all of this. People are still trying to apply logic to a country where a slow burn suicide is better than voting for someone other than Trump. The reality is people on the right want to hate hate and hate some more. This gives them what they most want. Reason and facts don't matter, so not sure why people still try. The only thing left is to be as illogical as they are. Just make up shit and shove it down their throats. -
Markets still falling like whoa

The article states that she did not commit tax fraud by claiming these houses as a primary residence in either state. The article is unclear on if she paid a higher loan rate and 20% down for a typical rental property loan or was given the a lower primary home loan rate and downpayment. The quote at the bottom fails to specify if these numbers are comparing primary mortgage rates to secondary mortgage rates. -
Fucking disgusting little creatures Oh but by all means let’s keep supporting them!

Quick trip to Ryder Cup with some buddies, so have a few questions: 1. Thursday night steakhouse dinner in the city. Where should we go? Doesn't necessarily have to be a steakhouse, but upscale meal, good service, etc. Prefer lively over quiet. 2. Is the best way to Bethpage the train? Do they run 4-5a? Our goal is to be there shortly an hour or so before the first tee time (7:15a). Welcome thoughts!

I find it fascinating that nearly all of the hydrogen in the universe was created soon after the Big Bang. So when people say "We are stardust" they should say "We are Big Bang matter and stardust." That would have been harder to Jodi Mitchell to rhyme though.

First ABC because of George Stephanopolous saying Trump "raped" a woman when it was technically only sexual assault as defined by NY laws. Then CBS because of 60 Minutes editing of a Kamala Harris interview that allegedly made her look more charismatic. Then NPR and PBS because ??? Project 2025 said so? Or because they are a liberal media source? I'm not even sure. Now NYT because they are accused of being a "full-throated mouthpiece of the Democrat party". Oh, it looks like they are specifically upset that some past articles said A) Trump made his fortune through fraud, and B) an interview in which John Kelly (Trump's first term chief of staff and retired Marine general) said he met the definition of a fascist (narrator: he does), and C) the NYT wrongly credited a producer on The Apprentice for its success, rather than giving credit to Trump himself (oh, come the fuck on). I fully expect the NYT to either settle or cave in, because we already saw it with ABC and CBS, and because no one seems capable of fighting. We have clearly lost free press in this country, meanwhile, Fox News can advocate for euthanizing homeless people on the streets and spread countless lies and misinformation and no one does shit. This country is so damn lost at this point. I don't think the midterms will save us, if we even have midterms.

To sum up: selfishness and lack of long term thinking. -

That explains why Texas is -41.5 favorite. But, knowing how the offense is struggling lately Sam Houston will probably cover -
84 imo

He said out loud that he doesn't care about violence coming from the right.

Stroud will be the first to admit he's fallen off since that rookie season, but he can still carve up defenses given time. It's absolutely unforgivable how bad his protection continues to be, especially in a city that should have learned the hard way how not to ruin a QB forever after the David Carr saga.

Between the 71 year old man who seems like a complete whack job to the community of furries and the roommate/possible love interest this case is tailor made for surly. Like AI gifted them with it. Question: so if a male is attracted to a male who is transitioning to be a woman…what is the appropriate term for the non-transitioning male? Nonbinary? I just want to know the correct term in an effort to be respectful. Does that mean the male is gay? Bisexual? In the LGBTQ 🏳️🌈 spectrum where would the shooter fall IF IF IF his romantic partner is a male transitioning to be a female? Sorry to be confusing.

It sucks that I immediately think a new era of lynchings is a possibility. PotUS has already said folks should feel free to do whatever they want to do.
-
I'd also say the defense is in the same S&C program. We have no issues there, so I'm pretty confident the problem isn't our S&C training. The offensive side of the ball just has bad and poorly taught players.

It keeps getting better and it is much much better on relisten even. I am currently on my fourth crawl lol

You’ve already been given that sign. It would be wise to have a plan that allows you to get out on short notice, even if it means leaving material possessions behind. -
I get the new iphone on Friday. Hopefully I can see what is going wrong with the browser then.

Texas Football 2025 - Careening Towards the Abyss
Codaxx replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
Here is the thing. If you have a player struggling with being too high, you can put him in the shoots and drill it. Eventually he will get tired of hitting his head and come off the ball lower. Players has issues with his hands, put him on the jugs machine and catch 50 ball a day. I do not know the drill for the yips. For all we know Manning is fine in practice and falls apart in the game. It is a mental thing. There are no drills to fix that. Only thing a coach can do is try to take some pressure off of him, but based on the rest of the offense, Sark cannot do that. His answer was to pass less and run Arch more. Perhaps the other issues are not fixable either. I am more concerned about fixing something the coaches can control -
