Government Shutdown 2025: This Time It’s Personal
Biff Tannen replied to Bozo_Casanova's topic in Cloak Room
Ok, but for the sake of this thread (and my question), it seems like focusing their energy on a topic that could affect 24 million people when about 180 million people get their healthcare through their employers... -
Early returns suggest McGuire is better than most at melding together disparate parts into a cohesive unit.

The broadcast team was fucking awful. It seems like we missed very single overtake. https://youtu.be/GeDPIKZq0eg

Not sure if it's been discussed but didn't we overhaul our oline scheme from zone to gap blocking? If true, strange to overhaul when we've been desperate for continuity.

Agreed, but having mostly poor persuaders in leadership roles isn’t doing Democrats any favors. -
Honestly thinking of Mexico City. Make it into a little 3 day vacation.

Seeing those names after watching the Longhorns season so far just brings the sads. At least you graciously omitted the O linemen.

I vote heresy, belief or practice contrary to religious teaching. Blasphemy is usually some form of verbal utterance I believe both fall into broader category of sacrilege

Government Shutdown 2025: This Time It’s Personal

I was talking about why Democrats focus on healthcare in general and why the public pays attention to the healthcare debate. Also, 24 million people is a fuck ton when it comes to electoral politics. -

Call me crazy but that bodycam footage doesn't change anything. He may not have been directly involved in the head on collision but he's clearly the reason why the chain of events happened. Even if the highway patrolman wasn't coaching the witness (he clearly was) and you take the witness at face value, he lightly taps the brakes because he sees a green car driving erratically in his lane. What am I missing? -
Assholery. Which, coincidentally, is America's State Religion, so it checks out.

Yeah, we just did a weekend at the Aria for the Eagles show at the Sphere on Saturday night. The Aria is....fine. It's dated, and definitely starting to look a bit run down in places. And on our floor/hallway, some assholes smoked a shitload of weed in their room, and it stunk up the whole hall for the entire weekend. Our room was fine, but the hallway stank. Food was great, across the board, although we need to break out of our routine -- we keep going back to places we love, like Lotus of Siam, Din Tai Fung, and Bouchon. We actually prefer staying at the Palazzo (it's usually better-located for the concerts we come to town for), but the price difference was like $300 a night, and that just seemed stupid. LV sure didn't seem dead to us, plenty of crowds, but then, losing 5-10% really doesn't thin the crowds much, it just crushes the profit margin.

That was a great story lol -
I really don’t know what this means. He got here in May so Sark saw something after the spring camp that needed additional eyes, but it’s not working. Or maybe Sark wanted to bring another coach in because we can and Drevno’s hire is completely irrelevant to the issues on the Oline.

AD Mitchell was in the doghouse because of what he did last week. He didn't even see the field until garbage time in the 4th quarter.

@Kyrie Eleison @Brisketexan @Anastasis I’m not as sharp about this stuff as you are. Would this be blasphemy or heresy?

an interesting discussion of the deal from Israeli perspective. from the discussion above 70% of Israelis approve of Trump’s plan? Sounds like he needs to wrap it up to help secure re-election? After that you might see some shenanigans.

Government Shutdown 2025: This Time It’s Personal
Biff Tannen replied to Bozo_Casanova's topic in Cloak Room
Right. As I understand it, the issue the Dems are rallying around in this shutdown is the extension of ACA tax credits. This isn't about employer-provided insurance, it's about those who get their insurance via the ACA marketplace, which in 2025 is about 24 million people. -

A media empire dedicated to right wing propaganda helps. -
Anyone remember a burger place at 2244 and 360 from the mid 2000s? They had the best jalapeno burger and they didn't last long past 2008 but I can't remember their name.
