Charlie Kirk assassinated at an event in Utah (by a 22 YO groyper)

Guess I can't read a schedule. *L*

Hopefully we get some of the injured playmakers (Baxter, Tre, the Stanford WR) on offense back against Florida. Offense has potential to be a lot better still

That's a great summation. The offense laid an egg in Columbus and was so pedestrian for the next two weeks, with Arch looking way off and several key talents sidelined. For that matter, as solid as our defense was, the lack of a weekly sack party was unsettling after so much buildup. Given all this, I think many of us longtime fans have a rather uneasy felling about where things actually stand. Maybe that was always the likeliest outcome following an offseason in which some folks really asked if this team might beat 2005's, but to see us look so meh on one side of the ball has been buzzkill. While last night was a long step in the right direction, let's not forget that was a home game against an 0-3 Sam Houston squad that under no circumstances had a chance to beat us. I was a Coffee & Football guy nearly every weekday for months leading into the season, mostly to get recruit updates from Gerry. Recruiting is the one major part of college sports I can't really watch for myself, so accurate coverage of that topic intrigues me much more than game analysis. I'm no coach, but I'm content with my own ability to tell what did or didn't happen on the field of play.

Good catch. My reading of the index on DCTF was faulty. To your point, ain't nobody with a brain looking at the result and thinking Ganado is ripe for the picking.

Tiney hands.

We were the most injury bitten team in the league so not surprising. Feels like the last few years that has been the case. Houston has the best medical district in the country, but the Astros have some of the worst medical staff in the league imo

Connie Clark at least had some success. She made the college world series 5 times. This soccer coach hasn't accomplished anything of that level in the postseason.

As many of you here know I am in the midst of getting a masters in World War II History from ASU. This has been a fantastic journey with the classes I have had. Right now I am doing a World War II in Literature class with Professor Horan. Her correspondence back and forth has been really helpful in better understanding what I have read. I would highly suggest reading The Plague by Albert Camus. Such an amazing work and glad I have now read it. It’s an allegory to France having been occupied by the Nazis. I think that book would be a really good read for many of us considering what we are witnessing. I’d also suggest reading the works of Gabriela Mistral. Her fight against fascism in Spain, South America and Europe before and during World War II is a good guide for what we should do as well. Find a bit of spare time and read what I mentioned if you can. There is hope in their words.

QB1 Arch Manning: Doing his best JAG impression to fool scouts
Irish Wrist Watch replied to LTtxfan's topic in Football
One thing that bothered me was a play (and I'm pretty sure there were several others) where we ran an empty backfield. Everyone probably remembers it because Arch got blasted, although he got rid of the ball. Whan Sam Houston saw the empty backfield, they sent everyone they could. A hard shot from bigger, better opponent could put Arch out for the season. I have never liked going empty backfield. I think teams are much less likely to blitz when they know the QB has help. A running back that stays in to block can buy any QB extra time to make the big play, or he can become a weapon if the QB needs to get rid of the ball in a hurry. He's also a threat to run the ball outside when the LBs blitz inside. And it isn't just concussions and broken legs that you have to worry about. A QB can fuck up a hand trying to throw it hard with a defender in his face. -
I've reached the point where I can't tell if some of you guys have olympic level sarcasm, or if you are just fucking retarded.

Iga v. Alexandrova for the Seoul 500 title is underway, but TC isn’t showing it. BJK Cup final in an hour, I won’t make that. Should be Emma v. Cocciaretto & JPeg v. Paolini.

The thread you started and this has to be a bit at this point right? Beating Sam Houston is hilarious and silly

Kick was what you want on an onside. Great game to watch. Will come back here again. Matsuzawa is going to get a shot to kick on Sundays with his leg and accuracy.
