Exactly this. If I saw a UT grad doing this, I would not only NOT give them a like, I would DM them, talk a TON of shit, and ask them to revoke whatever their association is with UT. I would be FURIOUS if someone did this in the name of my alma mater - and, no, I do not care that they sort of gave the impression that the were going to pick up and re-sort the shirts. 1) I don't believe them because aggy; and 2) even if they did hang everything back, they've still wrinkled merchandise and generally made a lot more work for people who are legit not making more than $15.00 per hour Get fucked, aggy morons. Hell is not hot enough

If you are looking for a very good movie about love, life, kids, parenting and interactions with assholes in your life, I suggest When Life Gives You Tangerines. It is Korean, and dubbed, and the dubbing is actually pretty good. It's definitely a series to watch with your spouse and hopefully family. There are parts it gets real dusty. I can't find a way to give you a trailer in English dubbing, but here's one with english subtitles. I've always enjoyed UI (who plays several characters). Gives you a pretty good sense of South Korea from the rural parts all the way into Seoul.

I went to MO several times in the mid 70s. Brisket can correct me, but I remember it being a retreat for Marathon Oil? Some oil company or another. It was a great camp compared to the scout camps I attended. They have this old water slide there that was super fun. There's a video of it attached. But when we used it, there were no walls on either side. The pain in the ass was hauling that wooden luge thing back up, so the second year we brought some rope, a pulley and some barbell weights. We used that to pull the cart back up the track instead of lugging it. worked pretty well. That was a really fun and clean camp. All presbyterian run, and they were even laxer than the methodists at that time. Always made sure I went along on those trips if i could.

Oh agreed, but as long as we're generalizing... engineers tend to be pretty well thought of on the IQ scale. They also tend to have pretty strict ideas on "proof." Just guessing from your list, you work on the prosecution side, right?

I agree with this take. It's not great and it's formulaic as can be, but it's action-packed and dino-laden which is perfect for a popcorn summer movie. It's goofy with the George Lucas and Porg-esque baby dino who does nothing except is cute and probably a consultants idea for merch and revenue long tail (no pun intended) once the movie has completed it's run. Numbers out over the 4 day weekend are very good (critics have not been as kind, but it's a commercial smash).

Insensitive asshole here, but there's a thing I've seen the last 48 hours I just can't quite wrap my head around: I've seen god knows how many "prayer warrior" posts the past few days, 99.9% from women, including a lot by women I know, that seem convinced if they post on social media that they're praying hard enough, they can literally cause rescue to occur. Like Stringer said in his post earlier, it's as if here's a finite prayer threshold that must be met before a miraculous outcome can be granted. I absolutely understand the benefit (and inherent goodness) of having friends express genuine, heartfelt sympathy, but this ain't it. -
Chloe Childress was a beloved camp counselor at Mystic and a beautiful person with a promising future. Chloe was co-president of the Honor Council, a varsity cross-country runner, and the founder of a service club dedicated to helping senior citizens. She was supposed to attend University of Texas at Austin this fall. This beautiful soul lost her life in the flood.

Racism does indeed suck. I moved to South Africa when I was 7 and lived there for 4.5 years. Overall it wasn't too bad for us except for that one instance. I can't believe the sub did that, but I'm glad she realized that she made a mistake. The institutional racism there at the time was real. We regularly went to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to enjoy the architecture and gardens. We were never bothered, but I remember seeing a white policemen harass a black couple because they were laying on the grass, laughing and enjoying the day. Institutionalized racism is something that looks horrifying in retrospect. You can blame the system and the people. Are the people racist because the policies tell them it's okay to be racist? Or are the policies that way because the people are racist? But let my tell you, the 2 most memorable incidents were the ones I mentioned above. It was the person being a dipshit because they were dipshits. Not because someone told them to be.
