  1. Past hour
  2. They still might get it. This is basically the opening bid in an auction. The email leads one to believe that there is a multiple offer situation with bidders going against each other.
  3. Checking in with friends and today is the first day where it's really starting to fuck with work travel. We'll see who caves first.
  4. I think his point was that they struggled, too.
  5. If I saw those lines at the airport, I would turn around and go home. If it was a work trip, I would tell everyone involved that the airport is essentially close and let's schedule a online meeting.
  6. I mean, I wouldn't call AOC or even Mandami populists. They both have a very astute grasp of the complexities of governance.
  7. Same corporation that you have the judgment against? If so, that's maybe a good sign that they don't have a bunch of corporate nesting shenanigans that might prevent you from seizing the assets. As part of the execution, the constable can actually post the real property for "sheriff's sale," but that seems fairly uncommon except in real-estate transactions. Also, want to record that judgment in Collin County and anywhere else you think they may have assets (Dallas, Denton, etc.). Did they default on the judgment? If they did, despite the appeal period having lapsed, they could attempt to set aside the default on various grounds. Contacting them and asking them to pay would be the super-courteous thing to do. But it's not really required. The thing operating massively in your favor here is that the judgment likely exceeds their attorneys fees in any effort to avoid it, so they're better off just paying you. Doesn't mean they will, though.
  8. Baxter just hasn't been effective this year. He goes down instantly.
  9. Does BYE have anyone we need to tamper with for the portal?? How’s their OL and RB room?
  10. The problem is the non-populists are soulless worthless idiots. If the non-populists had dynamism and leadership and a bold plan and vision I would happily line up behind them. But that option does not exist.
  11. That happened a long time ago. Remember Ronald Reagan? You've seen pictures.
  12. When one political group is entrenched at the city/state/national level, it becomes a steaming pile of shit. Accountability is out the door because the idiots in charge know they can do whatever the fuck they want and idiots will still vote for them. We are seeing the this diarrhea at all levels of government. Everyone gets the leadership they vomit onto themselves.
  13. We need to improve both groups. I always had some questions in the back of mind if this year would really be our year because of what we lost from last year and breaking in a new qb. Manning appears to have figured things out now though and next year could actually be the year. I don't want to rely on a freshman running back and what we have on campus next year when it could be the difference between winning an NC or not.
  14. IDK, we need to see who the backup QB is for Bye first!
  15. Are you saying people aren't naturally attracted to cookie cutter, Ivy league educated, management consultant trained, focus group tested, corporate Democrats?
  16. The problem with populism is that populists of any stripe are objectively terrible at governing. Across time and space, I struggle to think of a populist who did a good job anywhere at scale, which is a function of populist rhetoric invariably offering simplistic and unrealistic solutions and promises against real, complex problems. There’s always the old “lie about being a populist” trick but you can’t pull the football forever and eventually someone will come along who actually does the stupid shit and either makes a hash of things or just overturns democracy to avoid consequences. This basically happened with the republicans. We got here because most of America treats real elections like student council elections: vote for the stupidest and most unreal shit because deep down you believe adults will remain in control. Only that’s not how it works in real life.
  17. Not accurate. Guy plunging to his death wouldn’t say that
  18. Bye is terrible, we'll win convincingly.
  19. Preach. Half of our bands IG posts have the #noai tag in them.
  20. Looks like you've got a pretty good case with actual rather than speculative, intangible damages. A couple of things: do you have confidentiality agreements regarding customer information and any effort to maintain it confidential? And, "contracts that were bid during his tenure," did he bring those customers to you? General note: it's somewhat rare that you have provable damages as you do here, so that's a plus. Recovery of damages from an individual or small business is always a crapshoot. A lot of these ethically challenged entrepreneurial types don't have a pot to piss in until they've been in business for a good while, if even then.
  21. Simon and the Florida kid coming in should be a really good 1-2 punch next year. RB can contribute early. Then you have Baxter who isn’t an elite talent anymore but provides steady experience. I’d rather spend whatever NIL y’all are allocating to RB on OL. We need to completely start over on the interior and I don’t think some competition for Baker would be a bad idea either. Of course we probably won’t actually do that, because we’re idiots.
  22. But it’s the democrats that give away free shit!!!
  23. Just a note: I was very pleased with GoLL’s referral a couple of years ago.
  24. If they were self-sufficient, they wouldn't be voting for republicans.
  25. This needs to be plastered on every DNC office across the country. Elections are not about policies. They are about vibes. People subconsciously decide who they want to vote for and THEN craft an internal reasoning for why they feel that way.
