  1. Past hour
  2. I’m seeing a lot of this kind of thing today reposted by old friends - good, kind people who are personally apolitical but products of their communities, which are entirely immersed in the MAGA-social media-megachurch complex.
  3. Another reason why offseason practice reports are horseshit. We heard about Connor Stroh looking impressive, and all we've seen is him get tossed aside like a ragdoll. Same with Christian Clark, who runs for like 2 ypc.
  4. My daughter is a sophomore at Ole Miss. Just about my entire ex-wife’s family went there and she loves it there. And why not? Oxford is charming as hell and the campus is gorgeous. That place is racist AF (yet I find it hard to throw stones considering what Texas and UT is turning into). I’m sure my daughter is one of not many liberals on campus. I drove her back for her sophomore year a few weeks back and found the best little mom-and-pop Italian place. It’s owned by a married couple. The wife came by our table and chatted us up. She was incredibly nice. FF to a text from my daughter late last night. Apparently, the lady posted this on Instagram: Probably not a great idea in that environment — but she ain’t wrong. They had to shut down their Yelp page after getting repeated 1-star reviews. She also served as an executive assistant to a high-level Ole Miss administrator. She’s been fired. I bet the restaurant is not long for this world either, which is a damn shame. https://www.hattiesburgamerican.com/story/news/2025/09/11/ole-miss-fires-employee-over-social-media-post-on-charlie-kirk-shooting-death/86097846007/
  5. You had me at pie. Thank you!
  6. Man, I think this hits it squarely on the head as to why I started this thread. If college students these days are this ... regressive (I guess?) socially speaking, it feels like we are setting ourselves up for a real different experience for my kids and grandkids. I remember being in high school and college and reading about the Scopes Monkey Trials and thought "man, what idiots, who would ever push that stupid religious-based science to be taught in schools when we have the Bill of Rights and the separation of church and state." But it looks like my kids will get to live through a new era that is just as ridiculous.
  7. "What Charlie Kirk's death has taught me about Enterprise Sales"!
  8. Narrator: that's what a well rounded education is all about.
  9. The current right wing interpretation of "freedom of speech" is an absolute lie, and part of the rigged game they play. The fact that some non-MAGA people fall for it is pathetic. These "freedom of speech" champions celebrate Trump suing media, call for immediate resignations for any Dem official that doesn't properly grieve Kirk's death, get university professors fired, etc. Every accusation is a confession. Best case scenario is these people are mentally ill. Reality is most our charlatans.
  10. Appreciate that from you and js1. I try not to be a dick on things that I care about and mental well-being is one of them. But my fingers get ahead of my brain sometimes. It is surly, after all.
  11. No fucking shit. Everything he says in that video is dissembling bullshit.
  12. i'm curious the real details around the shooter he wasn't shot with a rifle from walmart also .....
  13. Fuck him in the goat ass. I am not sorry he is dead.
  14. I remember my mom crying when the Challenger shuttle blew up, and I remember all of us watching the t.v. when the Berlin Wall came down. Those are my earliest.
  15. Unfortunately I think we all know where this is going. Republicans are starting with porn, but in some states like Mississippi, they are already requiring a real ID to post to social media. They are putting feelers out, but every instance they can't control on social media (like sharing of Kirk's video), they will use to justify requiring real ID for using Social Media. They want to track what everyone is doing and saying online. They've already paid Palantir a shit ton of money to start doing it. Everything in the government data bases, will be tied to a real person, along with their online identities and they will absolutely target you if you say something out of line with the Trump regime. It's already starting now, this is just around the corner. VPN's will just slightly prolong the inevitable, but see Germany, where they are starting to target them. VPN will also be on the chopping block soon. Free speech, the anonymity of the internet, will be a thing of the past. Start scrubbing your shit now. lol
  16. And JE has rewarded her with carving out the time for her with Rainbow Double Sub, making sure she plays some capacity for both her block and her attacking. She has played in all 5 matches and 18/20 sets. The Rainbow Double Sub is clearly going to be a major part of the rotation going forward. She only played in 64 sets last year - already almost at 30% of her 2024 playing time, in just 5 matches. Does she start? No. But she is playing. And she still will have at least 2 rings and a Texas degree when she graduates this year. And let's face it - Cari will struggle at times, she's a freshman. And Devin will be ready to step in.
  17. I guess good attempt at deflection Twice. Jeez man. Are you ok? Seriously. eta: Nevermind, I see that you are not well.
  18. More like, nah, we're going to take it out of public display and put it in a museum along with statues of confederate generals and politicians, Joe McCarthy, Father Coughlin and other examples of the worst of American history. And leave it a little open whether Kirk was the worst or his murder was the worst.
  19. I member when Obama did just that. Caused a lot of people to hoard ammunition. Then they died and it was given to me. Then I had a Shitload of ammo including many gauges and calibers I didnt even own. Damn canoe accident.
  20. Murder occurred with such regularity in her vicinity that the term "Cabot Cove syndrome" was coined to describe the constant appearance of dead bodies in remote locations. Indeed, if Cabot Cove existed in real life, it would top the FBI's national crime statistics in numerous categories, with some analysis suggesting that the homicide rate in Cabot Cove exceeds even that of the real-life murder capital of the world
  21. I'm also guessing that Newsom takes a hiatus from his Trump mocking? Because, of course, it's always on the left to be respectful.
  22. Similar perhaps, but I don't think these accounts should be doing this because it's not close enough nor a good enough match and the harassment innocent people receive once these types of "pairings" and speculations occur is horrific. I posted something in the CR where a 77 year old Toronto banker was declared the shooter yesterday when people mismatched his photo with scenes of the elderly person arrested yesterday.
  23. Newsom's troll crew should say if elected, first order of business is to bust it up into a million pieces.
