  6. excellent work all around! ok guys i have two questions and think this is probably the best place to ask... one...what exactly does one do with beef tallow? 🤔 rendered about two cups from some large Costco chuck roast trimmings. first time i've done it, was kind of an impulse...so now im like 'ok cool, now what do i do with this??' open to suggestions! two...does a good garlic press actually exist? one that doesn't squeeze out the sides and make a bigger mess than just chopping? 😝 looking for recs. thank you for your attention to this matter!
  7. all I need to know about the jimmy/jerry debate is this: jerry has won a super bowl without jimmy. without jerry, jimmy barely won two wild-card games. unless you’re a moron I think it’s pretty obvious who matters the most to success on the field.

  9. This is very similar to Cal, Maryland, and BYU…how’d that work out for us again?
  10. No coach says a guy could come back in if it was a game if it's a 3+ week injury. They all say it's "day to day" if it's that long. There was never a doubt Goosby would play unless he injured himself again afterwards. Also, Sark has been way more forthcoming and honest about that stuff than the usual coach since day 1 here. Have you not paid attention?

  15. I love the.... I don't really vibe with the city or its culture and I don't venture out of my tiny little bubble.... but let me tell you what real San Antonians think and what the city really needs..... and while I'm at it, let me tell you about the local tourism and what it's really about. The bloviating of this blowhard is at an 11..... It was funny for a few posts, but dude can't read a room or a thread. Time to go fuck up another thread with your 67 IQ, helobious? What do you think? Last call?
  16. Este. The point about the same notes conveying something wildly different is apt. The “creative” or “idea” part of art is often the easy part. The actual artistry is in the deeply individual perspective and craft the artist brings to the subject. The halls of great museums are adorned with endless examples of the same subject: the Gods, the Saints, the nude, the landscape, the sea, the garden. We are transfixed by the great pieces because the artist has gone beyond mechanical reproduction of the subject and makes us see something familiar in the way the artist wants us to see it. And that is something AI can’t do by definition because it can have no intentionality or perspective. AI can produce a passable version of an El Greco cityscape when prompted but it can never, ever see the world in an original way like El Greco did and put that vision onto canvas because it can’t see anything at all. And that will always be the difference in what it spits out. Similar with literature. Having a great idea for a story is easy and we have pretty much tapped out basic ideas for plots. Shakespeare only wrote two original plots. The artistry is in the hard part, the actual writing. AI will never have its own voice or be able to understand the motivations of a character and thus cannot produce anything of real value. I am not saying here that AI art won’t be popular. It will be, but it will be terrible.
  17. Eh..... Friends don't let friends drink the Bayless. That's a Skip rumor and it's never really been verified by anyone else. And it wasn't another HC, it was Al Davis, who in this scenario was possibly trading FOR Irvin. I'm not sure you can trust the source and regardless, it sounds like this was stream of consciousness type conversation, not a real, serious conversation to trade Irvin anywhere. Jimmy wasn't always leaving or at least it's not commonly sourced this way. Can you cite you're narrative? Jimmy is a mercurial personality who always judges his situation around if he was having fun or if he was getting bored or complacent or unhappy. Obviously, the relationship with Jerrah was unsustainable and he many times lashed out or responded poorly to Jerrah always stepping on his toes or trying to bully him around his contract. But Jimmy has spoken many times about his personality and how he doesn't look too far in the future but asks himself about his quality of life in the now (below). The Jacksonville thing was a Mike Fisher story, IIRC. It was about how Jacksonville was interested in hiring Norv Turner for their first HC and the owner approached Jimmy to get his thoughts. Jimmy, in one of his frenzies about Jerrah not respecting him, tells the Jacksonville owner, he should hire Jimmy and Jimmy would try and take most of his staff. The Jax owner, speaking with Jimmy with Jerrah's understanding, didn't like the conversation and never really pursues it. Here's the thing... Jimmy was under his infamous 10 year contract at the time. He hadn't negotiated down it was a bone of contention for the two. Jimmy screaming he'd take his talents elsewhere when Jerrah got in his way and Jerrah always reminding he was under contract and he wasn't coaching anywhere else. In other words, it's a fun and juicy story, but there's no teeth. Jimmy was under contract and Jerry wasn't going to let him out unless...... And remember, it's heavily rumored that Jimmy offered Jerrah 1 more year to go for the 3 peat and Jerrah, getting off cheap in the deal decided it time to go on a 3 decade journey of ineptitude to show real football people that he definitely wasn't one of them.
  18. Obviously, I don't wanna go overboard and suggest that the President of the United States would declare (which apparently he can now) a war on Greenland or Chicago or some other foreign land as a tactic to distract from credible evidence he raped a 13 year-old. That would just be silly.
  19. Especially troubling if it's Ezekiel 23:20
  20. It's very literally an infringement of the 2A in that if the president can force a state's militia to act against the wishes of that state - then it is not their militia.
