  1. My sense of smell is more acute than I would like. It's definitely a curse, not a blessing. Most people, places, and things stink. Nevertheless, I find it absolutely incredible that as a society, we don't do a better job at discouraging the use (and especially the overuse) of cologne and other fragrances. It's as though because smells are invisible, we just give a free pass to all of the presumptuous fuckheads who bathe in odors after (or instead of actually) bathing. From a pure sensory perspective, it's no different than just bellowing out a loud shout non-stop, or walking around with a strobe light and putting it in strangers' faces. If I ever go postal, I will hunt by smell. In the meantime, you smelly fucks, yeah, I farted as close to your face as I could manage. Edit - to keep with the thread, it amuses me when people occasionally get these two threads mixed up.
  2. If someone started a campaign to have dozens of eggs delivered daily to the residents of those apartments, I bet a lot of people would chip in a few bucks.
  3. Well what kind of personality would you prefer an ass robot to have instead?
  4. I had the same reaction when reading that tweet, but it's just an unfortunate cropping of the full text, which is more graceful than it would otherwise appear.
  5. Well, un/fortunately, I've lost about 25-30 lbs. since that photo was taken, so the amusing geometry of my profile has evolved a bit.
  6. I encountered him at the restaurant in the Boston Four Seasons ten years ago.
  7. For a fun change of pace, you can change the lyrics "bark at the moon" to "fart on some boobs." Glad he was able to make the farewell concert.
  8. This is what Doomlet calls Mrs. Doom's homemade enchiladas.
  9. Username both does and does not check out.
  10. Pretty solid pick in hindsight.
  11. I got some color photos in my post-probe packet. I have them saved to my phone's photo gallery so I can send them to my friends when the occasion calls for it.
  12. Just finished the most recent season last night. Enjoyed it as something to watch after Mrs. Doom inevitably falls asleep on the couch while we watch something else. I thought they did a great job with Moghidien (sp) - just such a creepy and off-putting and difficult character to figure out. Disappointed but not surprised that the shitheads in charge decided to ruin it.
  13. Kind of a dick move to rent a privately owned vehicle for the purpose of allowing a novice driver to ruin the clutch. Probably against the terms of the rental to let a young (<25) person drive it, too.
  14. That's easy - you've got three cars to choose from nationally. I'm sure they're all perfectly mechanically sound and ready to be driven from their location to your home without any repairs or maintenance whatsoever.
  15. Combo was one strange looking dude.
  16. Just finished season 3 last night. Enjoyable, but a little hard to follow at times. Agreed that the migrant family was a strange (and/or confusingly used) plot device. And I couldn't fully recount the arrowhead scheme details or aftermath with total accuracy if my life depended on it.
  17. Great design! Now throw them all away because nobody wants to smell cologne.
  18. I see you and raise you.
  19. And when you're finished with that, you get to move next door and mow that yard with a rusty and unlubricated manually-driven rotary spinning blade mower, complete with hardened plastic tires that get no grip.
  20. The 720 is 150 more.
  21. I try to walk about 3 miles every evening that I'm not traveling for work or otherwise occupied. It's further than Mrs. Doom, the Doomlet, or the dog care to walk, so I walk solo. There's a decent-sized tree along my route that has a weird little Kuato-type of limb outgrowth that doesn't look like it belongs where it is, almost like the tree got the idea to sprout a limb as far from all the other limbs as possible. Whenever happen to see it, I make the same joke to myself - that the tree has decided to open up a satellite branch. I find this joke very clever and amusing, and until now, it has bothered me that there's nobody else who can appreciate it. You're welcome.
