  1. Good HS bands can be very good and entertaining. Agree with the scope creep. Back in the 80's hs bands were kind of required to have at least three different shows to get through the season and not have the administration call bull shit, not to mention homecoming etc. (Fyi hs band guy and Longhorn band guy). Well, by the time my oldest started hs band in 2003 it had become the ridiculous phantasmagoric production you see today. Not only that, back in the day the directors would write the show, and that was before there was any software for it etc. Now, the parents have to fork over hundreds of dollars in "membership" fees in order to have a show commissioned and consultants for color guard and percussion just for their kids to be on band. I had many a discussion with the band director over the flaws in their business model, but he wouldn't have it. I had season tickets for years with my friends from LHB and I can't think of a single halftime show that we watched. Aggy sucks.
  2. It's worse than you think. Even Arky, South Carolina, and Mizzou have won division titles leaving aggy and Vandy.
  3. American Pie and Barney theme for the win.
  4. I watched it from the reception of Russell Gaskamp's wedding.
  5. I think on offense we will see a game plan similar to what they rolled out v nike in conf champ game. Washington kind of rope a doped UO with top. Washington was fortunate to win the first game because UO really dominated that game statistically in every way except they got greedy on some 4th downs with chip shot fgs in hand. I think the rope a dope was the plan in the 2nd game to limit that dominance. Good coaching imo and also UW does seem to tighten on d when they need it and score when they need it late in games. Seems like they have some "break glass in case of emergency" calls available.
  6. Yeah, I'm not seeing Penix getting sacked in this game, unless it's one of those where he is chased out of bounds just before the Los or something. Washington gets the ball out fast and picks their spots for the longer developing stuff. A lot like ousux in this regard without the running qb or the super hurry up or the sister fucking meth suckage
  7. Lol. The offensive guys are in hard ass action shots while the defensive guys look like they are doing the hokey pokey.
  8. With making the CFP, there will be a lot of new posters coming around. So while we are at it, a couple more "terms" that need not be used that make come up frequently in the next few weeks: "natty"...something that can be found at the back of your fridge or in 77 packs during spring break and not a national championship. "icey whites"...a term other teams use to describe their special white out uniform costume. Here we use "storm troopers" or road uniforms. That is all.
  9. Looks like you could drop the new one off if a building and UT would be fine...the old one, not so much.
  10. I gotta say, that is a nice looking trophy.
  11. That's exactly what they want us to think.
  12. Surly Northwest Regional Branch.
  13. Reminds me of the football team banquets I had to play while in school. Not much fun for us band guys. Back in the cash strapped 80's we got a completely different meal than the team and guests. The worst one was right after Akers got fired. It was like a funeral, you know, kind of like aggy's banquet this year.
  14. Underachieving seems like it would be easy.
  15. What if it doesn't?
  16. Yeah, the 17th Century. .....too late.
  17. I'll just see what the final score is tomorrow morning. I can't take this anymore.
  18. That's it. I'm swearing off of college football for the next few weeks.
  19. At least we get some commercial breaks.
  20. They just need to run clock here like in 77-0.
  21. 1/4 of the way through this shit fest. Only 2.5 hours to go.
  22. Big 12 would still be reviewing the Wash pic.
  23. Since Sark got here, his teams have flashed brilliance at times only to suffer a let down in game or in the next game. I always felt that the talent was being maximized but sometimes just didn't mesh with play calling or system or just didn't have the depth to sustain consistent play. However, all the while there was improvement from season to season, but there was a lot meat left on the bones in terms of wins. I felt 2021 could have been a 7 or 8 win team, 2022 a 10 win team and this year a 12 win team all prior to post season. This team is there. It is playoff caliber and that is what we should expect.
