  1. Good thing I have plenty of beer and whiskey; and my daughter’s soccer game tomorrow isn’t until noon.
  2. Catch the fucking ball

    9/11

Trump bashing Biden on 9/11. Fucking disgusting.
  4. Johnny Dangerously
  5. The Ravens RBs are dropping left and right. Gus Edwards has a suspected torn ACL.
  6. Fuck. https://nypost.com/2021/09/06/actor-michael-k-williams-found-dead-in-nyc-apartment/ “Drug paraphernalia was found in the apartment, suggesting a possible overdose, sources said.”
  7. They were on my list to checkout. I’m going to keep track of their tour schedule. Here’s a short video: IMG_5853.MOV
  8. Shows I saw at BottleRock, by day Friday: Polo G (meh), G-Eazy (great performance) Saturday: Warren G (great), Reignwolf (definitely want to see them again), North Mississippi Allstars (great), Dominic Fike (caught his last two songs while waiting for the next act, interesting and entertaining), Run The Jewels (will try to see them when they tour with Rage Against the Machine next year), Guns N’ Roses (first time seeing them live, Slash is amazing, Duff singing I Wanna Be Your Your Dog was cool, Axl looks like Michael Myers doing an imitation of Axl). Sunday: Jimmy Eat World, Black Pumas (would see again), Cage the Elephant (great), Foo Fighters (fucking awesome). Overall, it was a well-run festival with a wide-range of performers (we didn’t see Miley Cyrus or Meg Thee Stallion). Food was decent and lines for booze were short. Getting in and out wasn’t bad. No wait on Friday at 5 (probably because Chris Stapleton cancelled earlier in the day and people stayed away). Saturday afternoon was the worst with a 30 minute wait to get in at 2:15. There was no wait the next day at the same time. We will definitely go back. May try VIP next time as it is easier to move between the two main stages if there is a schedule conflict.
  9. Foo Fighters kicked ass last night
  10. Heading into Day 3 at BottleRock in Napa. It’s been a blast so far. I’ll post some pics and videos later.
  11. The niece of a former co-worker of mine is a teacher (2nd year). She has COVID and was placed on a ventilator yesterday morning. Based on the current COVID hospitalization numbers, she likely didn’t get vaccinated and will soon join the FAFO roll call.
  12. Same. The tears were flowing at that point. I bet Jeff Johnson had a good time before, at, and after that reception. The bride was probably involved, too. Well deserved, Jeff.
  13. My wife is a consultant and says the “make yourself bigger” visualization strategy is an actual thing; however, roaring isn’t part of it.
  14. Infant Sorrow is somewhere in there, too
  15. I used to work for a small company in Austin and the owner lived in a nice house in the hills with a great view of the city. One year, he hosted a company party at his place. One of the older customer service ladies brought her boyfriend and they got busted having sex in one of the bathrooms. Some unknown person stole some steaks from the fridge. One of the warehouse guys thought it would be a good time to show the owner photos from his most recent horse convention…the one where he dressed up as a horse with a tail coming out of his ass and was ridden around a room. That was the one and only party at his house.
  16. It’s $5/month. You’d also get to watch For All Mankind.
  17. Love this dance scene with Kirby (Bill Irwin) Bill Irwin dancing on Sesame Street And to stick with theme, Bill Irwin was also in Eight Men Out
  18. We don’t have a timeshare; however, we (my wife ) joined a travel club. $500/week for a small suite in Park City in the summer is worth it for what we paid up front (we also get discounts on Mexico trips). We’ve calculated the break-even point and will get out then. Too much BS.
  19. I agree with you. I grew up in Western NY. Wegmans beats HEB. The prepared foods section and deli counter kick ass.
  20. PM Derka to see if he’s in town
  21. BottleRock replaced her with Chris Stapleton
  22. I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl. We ate lobster and drank pina coladas. At sunset we made love like sea otters.
  23. Saw DMB when they put on a free show In Nashville on the waterfront. Mid 90s.
  24. Finished the book awhile back. I thought it was a great read and enjoyed the historical walkthrough of the Alamo story and how it has developed over time. The authors did a great job of describing the issues across different eras. The David Bowie story was pretty cool.
