  1. Ashtray beat the fire out that man, slowly, but purposefully, over the course of a minute. . That was satisfying.
  2. We got him. Hope he's starting quality and raises the floor of the CB group.
  3. Gotten a few promo emails this year and keep saving them, but damn the product on the court makes it hard to muster up the desire to drive an hour to SA. I haven't been in a few years, but at least we were still playoff material.
  4. This can be fixed. That's piss poor footwork with no leg planted and thus no strength to combat the bull rush. Hopefully that type of thing Flood can fix, or Banks is already better at, if at least as strong.
  5. Yep, I haven't moved out of IBRX and I'm embarrassed to say how little this "run up" has cut into my deficit.
  6. Checking into thread. Was at the Austin show at Stubb's, where Leon Bridges also played and I was there too. Very happy to see they have another EP together on the way. Leon's smooth voice goes very well with their sound. Oh, and definitely dig that they're both from Texas and seem to rep the hell out of that every time they can.
  7. I want to see Cascante replaced. Romana is a youngster, he can improve. Idk about all the head-scratching attacking moments he tries out, but he plays hard more often than not. I think we can do better at RB too, but those guys are serviceable. Just not difference-makers. I'm excited about our coming attack though. Could be fun .
  8. This definitely wouldn't refute that Gregory is a dumbass then, because a halfway-competent coaching staff would have that on film. Or they're the dumbasses.
  9. Juzczcyk (sp), Aiyuk, Deebo. All three have dropped their shoulder to get an extra 2 yards on catches/runs. 2 of those weren't even for first down plays, they just wanted "fuck you" yards. We haven't had that kind of mentality in decades. Maybe since Larry Allen left. They're going to do us raw like the Rams did a few years ago. Simply because they're tougher than us. Just like the Cardinals did.
  10. Glad we got a guy that seems like he can help at CB. Not a bad offseason so far, we've hit some needs, but still hoping for another DP that might fit better than Pochettino did.
  11. aaaaaaaand, it's gone.gif (Back under $8.00). Whichever of you said we're trading against Skynet is forever in my brain. Paying attention to daily movement seems silly. You see a 12% jump over a day or two, and Skynet trims that down to a modest 3-4% within 36 hours. Like clockwork.
  12. First Christmas gift to myself of the week. Haven't tried before but I heard it's a solid $40 buy (paid 50) but is somewhat hard to find, so I got suckered in. Tasting tonight.
  13. This is surly, beer is definitely a volume business on this end.
  14. It's a god damned tortilla chip that's been rolled up and dusted with extra sodium. You are so damned white. [michael scott.gif]
  15. Didn't see the fight on Saturday but fully expected Loma to dominate Commey, who is a B+ fighter. Every time he's tried to jump up to 'A' level he's lost, so Loma gave him a taste of world class once again. This was a fight between a 33 and 34 year old on Saturday so I'm not giving Loma credit for shit until he fights another 'A' fighter like Lopez, Tank, Haney or now even Kambosos. His prime is quickly going to deteriorate so hopefully he doesn't sit on it like GGG did and wake up 36 with only one or two marquee fights to his name. We know who the real dogs in the division are, and the Commey's and Nakatani's of the world ain't it.
  16. Hmmmm, so that clip of Ewers in the IG Live brings up the point that I haven't heard much of. Lots of buzz tying Stewart to Ewers, but what about Burton. One of our guys asks "bring my lil' bro Caleb" .... assuming to this weekend's visit. I would assume they could be closer than Ewers/Stewart since they were both committed to Ohio State.
  17. Stroud and Sweat. Wasn't Sweat a presumed starter? Now he'll never play for the club. Kolmanic is written in with pen. The rest........ well....... bye. Excited to see who we can bring in.
  18. Two great fights, two very sore losers. The endings were tough to watch, a couple guys who couldn't even imagine that they were in a tough/close fight.
  19. Figueroa-Fulton on Showtime tonight. Title unification. The 956 is back in the house!
  20. I've made a huge mistake...
  21. Just adding lines to the resume. I'd definitely be intrigued to how he could hold up to this weight, but I'm sure they see something in this Makabu that they can handle. Cruiserweight is a such a dead weight class that it doesn't mean a whole lot to me, but will also be an eyebrow-raising line on this resume. The main aspect of Canelo's career that I will remember is that he chased greatness. If you're going to hold his management against him (waiting on fights, "ducking" fighters, whatever), then you have to hold the management of other fighters against their legacy too. Staying in the same weight class for 15+ years isn't chasing greatness, it's refusing to test your limits and your advantages to find out how great you can be. Would rather see him fight Charlo, but I understand the move. It's clear he's focused on adding belts. Charlo won't be remembered in 10 years, belts in 5 weight classes will....
  22. How is this thread better than the DT thread? I've tried to get some insight into it over there and it's a fuckin shitshow. CR is now bearable? Everything's all fucked up on this site.
  23. Had to see this on the big screen and glad I did. I knew nothing of the first movie or the books (born shortly after all that), but everybody has seemed to like this first installment so I was in after reading reviews. I'm hooked and waiting for Part 2. Now I'm making my way through the old posts on this thread, apparently I really missed out. Also, hey, that's the detective from Twin Peaks in that trailer. Oh wait, Lynch directed the first movie?? (I just saw the first season of Twin Peaks last year, really enjoyed it, but decided I won't be watching Season 2). Pretty cool.
  24. Vic ain't pullin' no Mexican Nationals. He pullin' the churro eaters from SA (sadly, my people). Plus the Mexicans with money don't get fat because they'll hit the surgery table by the end of a grito...
  25. Been looking for some good nachos in Austin for too long. I can get the puffy tacos from El Chile, and they're not too bad.
